But mostly he's in the slot catching it over the middle, all things u said are true but Crowder is a top 10 slot wr. If Jarvis would come and be the 1 that would be a different story
That is what Miami asked him to do, top 10 slot WR is being nice with Crowder as there aren't that many slots to begin with but anyone giving you 100 catches consistently is a good to great WR and he is young no doubt in my mind he can be a #1, people were skeptical about Garcon being a #1 also |
Re: Redskins 2018 O/S needs post Alex Smith Trade.
Dont matter to me who comes from fa or draft but we need,....
RB Big ole run stuffer WR CB OG CB Probably TE In that order. |
Re: Redskins 2018 O/S needs post Alex Smith Trade.
After analyzing last years performance in Seattle, I believe we should pursue Sheldon Richardson as a 3 technique starter and rotational player.
During this past season, the problem was that we had one true playmaker on the DLine ( Jonathan Allen), when he went down, it completely changed the defense. Having an elite playmaker, like Richardson and drafting a player like Da'Ron Payne to play the NT would greatly strengthen the defense and ease the pressure on the secondary. |
Re: Redskins 2018 O/S needs post Alex Smith Trade.
In the mock drafts ive seen and did myself on fanspeak, all the running backs I would want are gone by round 4. Need to draft a stud in the 1st 2 rounds.

I would make a run at signing RB Carlos Hyde in FA. He could be the feature back here, IMHO. At 6'0" and 235 pounds, he should hold up. I might even try to sign Chris Ivory if I couldn't get Hyde's signature (The Jags are expected to release Ivory). |

I’ve seen plenty of him, I have mixed feelings about him. Would rather draft a young stud. |

Please look up Ronald Jones II of USC. He would be a perfect fit mixed with Thompson and Perine

Why not go for a NT? Bennie Logan and Dontari Poe should both be available. |

Because my mind is a bit locked on wanting to switch to a 4-3. But yeah you're 100% right if we're gonna stay in the 3-4, we need a true NT. Dontari Poe was available last year, didn't get a lot of love here, I have no idea what kind of year he had with Atlanta... |

Re: Redskins 2018 O/S needs post Alex Smith Trade.
I'm having a hard time moving forward here guys....
I used to get charged guilty with being too optimistic .. even during the Zorn era I stayed level headed. On the eve of the Eagles winning this super bowl.. as they destroy they're city and eat horse crap literally I just can't help but rehash the Cousins ordeal in my mind. How we ended up with Smith instead. Kendall. Phew. Rough fellas. Gonna take me a little. |
Re: Redskins 2018 O/S needs post Alex Smith Trade.
I get that there's some positives if you dig deep enough but .. realistically the better QB walked away. All we needed was a true 1 WR for this man, piece or two, boom were back. Smith is ok but I'm not excited. Thanks for letting me vent.

And just to remind you, that will give them a surplus high draft pick in addition to the one they already have, which is a nice bonus in addition to winning the Super Bowl. |

Last night made me love this move even more, you don't have to have a $28M Qb to win a SB

Sadly, I agree and this was the first thing I thought of. My burning hatred for the NFCE actually turned a corner last night. I was like, man, look at Foles and his kid. Heartwarming. I'm so old. |

Malcolm Butler wont be back in NE, that could be a good replacement for Fuller

I wouldn't call Jeffrey and Smith no names. Plus Agholor was a first rounder and they have Ertz. I think what happened was the Eagles just bonded and got the chemistry and confidence thing going and had it all year long. After watching the Eagles this year, I have even less confidence in our front office to ever get it right. Their GM/front office made all the right moves, ours didn't and can't. |

Foles played like a $28 million quarterback. He’s no Trent Dilfer. And let’s see how much he makes in a trade deal. I bet it’s more than the estimated 23 mill for Alex Smith. I believe that if Foles was a free agent, people would be talking the same amount of money as Kirk. Still might be. |

i'd much prefer not to spend this money . . . Ioannidis and Lanier will both most likely continue to make strides and are far far far cheaper options . .. sign or draft (preferable) a true NT and this line will already make huge strides . . . the 10 mill per year Richardson wants would be better spent at ILB, WR or CB IMO |
Re: Redskins 2018 O/S needs post Alex Smith Trade.
The difference between Richardson and Ioannidis and Lanier is that he is Elite. Have elite players at both end positions can ultimately strengthen the overall defense.

Yeah but how much would he command? We need to keep Brown and isn't RK a FA in a year? Check that I forgot he signed a 5 year deal |

Check that I forgot he signed a 5 year deal
Richardson was offered $10 million per by the Jets and laughed at them while turning it down . . . i don't see Richardson as that BIG of a difference maker compared to Matt Ioannidis (especially if Ioannidis is healthy and takes another step forward) . . . not for the $$$ he wants!!! IMO, that money would be better spent elsewhere . . . a true NT would make a much bigger difference!! |

But at the same time we have some cap space available and, a part from a true n1 WR, I don't see any glaring need for any expensive FA. And enough with the McGee, McClain and others McAverages... With our secondary (and Zach Brown back), all this defense needs to be top 10 is a wrecking D line. So if we see guys that could fit our scheme (and I'd like our scheme to be a 4-3), I wouldn't mind one big DL signing. Envoyé de mon SM-J320FN en utilisant Tapatalk |
