Re: House Cleaning put on hold....
Oh and Dan wants a moat around the stadium too (some what sarcastic here but the architect Dan hired had drawings of a stadium with a moat he shared on 60 minutes)
|
Re: House Cleaning put on hold....
So... The new stadium won't be built any time soon basically.
|
Re: House Cleaning put on hold....
Yep however it will take around 2-3 years for construction alone but they will need to do an eIS plus other preconstruction requirements. We should know in a few years where it will be. I also do not know the specifics of the FedEx lease if there is a financial penalty for leaving early I could see Dan paying the penalty to do so if he feels the gains made by moving early are there. If not we have basically one more decade if FedEx field

Per JP Finlay.
Redskins are hoping to meet with Gregg Williams Tuesday Side note : Why is Manusky still employed? This is a bush league thing to do to him IMO. |
Re: House Cleaning put on hold....
Per Mike Garafolo
The #Redskins had conversations with Steve Wilks before he took the #Browns’ defensive coordinator job, sources say. Doesn’t sound like they were deep discussions but another indication Washington has been nosing around DC candidates. |

Would not hurt my feelings if Greg became head coach!

Re: House Cleaning put on hold....
I've been a fan for 50 years, and I've never seen the likes of this. I hope the stadium is empty for every home game next year. If any fans do show up I hope it's for the other team.
How can anyone in their right mind be thinking of building a new stadium right now? What am I missing here? At this point, I'm completely on Sally Jenkin's bandwagon. Your arrogance has to be enormous to not see just how much this ship is sinking. My only hope now is it will get so bad that Snyder will sell the team. Now I understand why the players don't give a fuck. Now it makes perfect sense. |

LOL TRAIN WRECK FOLKS
If I were the Doug Williams, I would want to go to Tampa Bay If I were the Redskins, I wouldn't care if he did. As a quarterback, Doug Williams is a legend. As a front office guy, I don't even know if I'd call him mediocre. He's always struck me as a competent scout who was elevated to a senior executive role here to placate fans in aftermath of the Mcloughan debacle. I understand that he has been put in an awkward positions by the front office at times, but his comments to the media have ranged from bumbling to embarrassing to downright inexcusable. His remarks minimizing domestic violence in the aftermath of the Foster signing would have gotten him fired from a better organization (of course, those better organizations would not have claimed Foster in the first place (which they didn't)). If Williams wants to move to Tampa, I'd buy his luggage, pack his bags, and drive him to the airport. |

How about bringing Eric bieniemy in for HC? I know JG's job is "safe", but hell DS pulled the rug out from GW a couple years ago, let's do it again. At least he knows AS, and how to coach a young qb

Hopefully he gets a look when Gruden is fired next year. I remember EB when he was a hell of a back for the Colorado Buffs. We just need a change in leadership in the worst way. |
Re: House Cleaning put on hold....
How about firing your current defensive coordinator before you start half assing interviews to bring in a new one? Don't go tiptoeing around this shit. Unbelievably shitty move by this FO.

total lack of leadership. |
Re: House Cleaning put on hold....
Well now, let's see-we won't beat anybody in our division and I don't know who we play outside as of yet, fans get ready for a VERY BAD YEAR, I'm already prepared so I won't be surprised as the losses pile up,yes I'm a fan but I'm a realist too and when you don't have a QB you ain't going too far- if this team goes 6-10 Gruden should get coach of the year.

Re: House Cleaning put on hold....
This whole organization is a wreck folks, and it starts at the top. Nobody will want to come to DC unless its just for the $. Would you want to coach or work with this team right now?

I must admit, I didn't think much of this guy before reading the article. I believe most offense coordinators would look great if they had Mahomes. Nagy was impressive because of his work with Alex Smith. Although after reading this article, I would not oppose to this idea for next year. |

That Reid coaching tree is definitely looking mighty impressive now. I wouldn't be opposed but let's be honest here, a HC change doesn't mean jack shit without a FO/culture change around here. |

This. To me it doesn't really matter. You want to get me excited, don't talk about Eric Bieneimy, lets talk about the couple GM candidates with the Chiefs front office. |

Per Keim.
The redskins were able to successfully set up a meeting with Gregg Williams. No info on time frame |

I'm assuming that Snyder probably would have to give Williams a blank check for him to accept the job. |

Re: House Cleaning put on hold....
Jets finalizing deal with former Browns’ interim HC Gregg Williams to become their defensive coordinator, per source. Williams was the defensive coordinator the Jets were targeting no matter who their HC was; they got their man.
Per ESPN.. Gregg chose the Jets |
Re: House Cleaning put on hold....
It appears Jay also went to bat for Manusky per Keim, so it looks like he wanted to keep his guy all along.
|
Re: House Cleaning put on hold....
But don't worry folks we still have a shot at Joe Woods bahahaha
|
Re: House Cleaning put on hold....
Another Defensive Coordinator turned us down? shocking.
What the list now? Its almost as embarrassing in the handling of the QB position by Bruce and Danny. |

What an embarrassment, it's so bad I had Bills fans ask me "why do u even root for them" That is an all time low |
Re: House Cleaning put on hold....
Not surprising. JP speculated Williams was just using the Skins as leverage to get more money from the Jets.
I gotta say, i'm quite pleased with this outcome. Being continuously spurned by quality candidates is the only way Snyder will truly realize the reality of what his team has become. |

It's always up to someone else to smooth things over for Dan and Bruce, whether it's Jay or Doug. |

I get that but damn, Pride has to kick in you would think. O well, it's going to be a LONG year for Skins fans. At this point I'm ready for the draft and hope we strike gold on a QB |

Yeah I get the pride thing, but how many of us have worked shitty jobs because we have to? He's probably making a million per year I'd guess. Hard to give that up over pride. |
