Offense has scored 48 points in two games. Defense has allowed 63 points in two games. Again, #FireManusky. |
Re: Week 2 Loss - Post Thoughts Here
Look forward to football season and within 2 weeks I already don't give a fuck anymore. Not gonna go spend money to watch this team play anymore. Today is probably only like 1 of 3 games that will be on TV at my place this season. 90ish% of games I have to go out for and spend money. So I'm going to save myself probably around a 1000 bucks.

Norman Moses I hate to say it, Kerrigan AP DRC Players that have disappointed so far: Ionnadis Collins Sweat
I agree with your first group of players. The second list--I agree as well with the exception of Collins. I just sense Collins hasn't been put in position to do anything yet. The defensive line is getting gashed on the ground or the QB can calmly scratch his gonads, smell his finger and then toss a pass. The defensive backfield has been left hung out to dry. But I will say Norman looked like a clown out there today for the most part. |

Turned it off at halftime. I have better things to do with a Sunday afternoon. I also got tired of a looking at Redskins stadium with more Cowboys fans in it then the home team. We’ve completely lost home field advantage folks..

Sweat looks like another P SMith, slow off the edge and just avg in run defense
|
Re: Week 2 Loss - Post Thoughts Here
Refs were pretty bad. Defense was abysmal. Offense was adequate, although Case missed some easy, crucial throws.. Unlike most teams, this team MUST be completely healthy to compete...and that will never be the case.

Re: Week 2 Loss - Post Thoughts Here
Such a terribly coached team. I dont even know how much talent we have because the coaching and game planning is piss poor. I'm not even that upset anymore.

Re: Week 2 Loss - Post Thoughts Here
Fuck talking about the coaches...how in gods name does Bruce Allen have a fucking job? His handling of the roster has put us in this position.

Week 2 Loss - Post Thoughts Here
Case Keenum is mediocre and has missed two wide open TD passes in 2 games. Much of offensive is garbage time points and yardage. Case has been in 6 NFL teams. He’s a backup. Make him one.
It’s time to start thinking about next year. Bring in rookies and backups to replace guys who will be 100% gone next year. Trade guys like TW, van Norman, Moses and others while we can still get something for them. Greg Manusky needs to be fired immediately. Bring in one of the ass’t defensive coaches and see if he can do better. How many teams have to score over 30 points before he is fired. Do we even have a sack yet? Manusky will be sacrificed within 1-2 games. Where are the posters who said we’d go to the playoffs or win 11 games? Neither offensive nor defense is good enough to win more 5 games. If we lose to the Giants this team will implode. Already spirit is disappearing. We’ll get it back if we play the young guys. Gruden will be an offensive coordinator for someone else next year. Piss poor HC, if I was coaching for my job this year, I’d go for it every fourth down. I’m only watching to see rookies like McLaurin develop. Bring in Haskins, playing Case proves nothing. Re: Week 2 Loss - Post Thoughts Here
I have a feeling if we get spanked by the Bears, Gruden may get canned. But it would have to be the kind of loss that suggests that the team has given up on him. I’d never imagine thinking that possible on week 3, but....

Offensive stats are full of “garbage time” yards and TD’s. Take away the garbage time points and we aren’t very good offensively. Bring in HASKINS!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Haven't seen it mentioned by god damn what's up with all the holding penalties this year? Are the coaches that bad at teaching technique or the refs being overzealous?

Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
The offense hasn't been great (except the first half of last week's game), but it has played well enough to win ball games. Particularly, if we can cut down on the penalties. IMO, the defense has been the main culprit in these losses. In the second half of last week's game and from the second quarter of today's game, the defense has been stir fried s**t. I mean the way Dallas was marching up and down the field today in the second half was reminiscent of a flag football game. Horrible! |

Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
I agree with this. They've pleasantly surprised with the ability to put points up (the penalties I have a major problem with though) but at the same time they have scored 2 garbage time stat-padding td's that literally had no outcome on the game. Also kudos to McLaurin, because he's had a 2 game stretch where he's looked better than Doctson has at any point in his career. |

Re: Week 2 Loss - Post Thoughts Here
The defense was supposed to be our strength this year. I envisioned scenarios where the defense is killing it, the offense is struggling, but the score is like 6-3. Maybe losing Allen and Dunbar WAS that big of a deal? Hard to believe that one player can make that big of a difference.
But let's not kid ourselves, even though the offense is scoring over 20 points (some of those points are garbage time points), the offense is completely unbalanced. You have a future hall of famer in the backfield and you're not using him. You stick with the running game even when it's tough, but you know with AP in the back field, he can break one at any given minute. I think Gruden is digging his own grave by going away from the running game. Maybe Manusky's defense is more successful if the offense can become a little more ball controlled. But Gruden wants to throw it all over the place. Yes, we have some talent at wide receiver (finally), but you have Adrian Peterson in the backfield for Pete's sake. He's the type of player to take a team on his back. Use him. Establish a ball controlled offense that keeps the other team's offense off the field. And when the time is right, hit Terry M for a huge gainer. Gruden is going to have to make some changes now. This team is heading toward 1-4. |
Re: Week 2 Loss - Post Thoughts Here
All that talk from Pam Oliver about Jay Gruden not liking AP because he's a north-south guy, wtf was up with that? If a guy is not a good scheme fit for you, why is he here?

I thought that was bizarre, especially coming right after (or before) AP busted a 5 yarder around the left side. It may just be a polite way of saying that our FO has their heads up their asses. |

What’s really odd is AP has been the only good back(statistically) under Gruden. |

This is the most terrible start to a football season ever.

14 of those points were garbage time. Offense has its problems too. Yay us. |
Re: Week 2 Loss - Post Thoughts Here
Just to add... maybe it's too early to judge Sweat or Collins (although after watching him rush for the 6 games, I'm predicting Sweat will be a massive bust), as they are having to play under the direction of the worst DC this side of Joe Barry.
A new DC and these guys may flourish, who knows? They just never will under Manusky. Want more proof? Preston Smith: 1.5 sacks last week, INT this week in GB B. Breeland: INT today for Chiefs K. Fuller: INT today for Chiefs Guys leave here, perform ust as well, or better...guys come to this defense... and you get what you've seen from Z. Brown, J. Norman, L. Collins, etc. ...and if I remember correctly, Brown was Pro-Bowl production before keys to D were given to Manusky, right? |
