Whoever the next GM is here, we need someone that's not going to make critical errors like letting guys like Trent, Scherff, and Cousins out the door. Imagine this offense with those 3 guys still here. We haven't been able to find even adequate replacements for any of those guys. Just a total organizational failure at the top. You need to identify your top talent and RETAIN THEM. These are mistakes you can't overcome, at least not with a below average front office setup like we've had with Ron.
That’s funny, if I recall many here wanted Kirk and Brandon gone, don’t resign them, they suck. Same thing being said about Chase, let’s get a 3rd for him stupid nonsense. |

They said the same thing about Trent. Fuck that guy! Lol. Very true. How bout Adam Peters assistant GM for the niners coming here. |

Who cares what the fans think, we need a GM that's going to do what's right for the team and if the fans don't agree in the moment F them.

There was a lot mixed information from both sides regarding Trent's scalp tumor. The Redskins doctors were willing to share his medical records to show there was no wrong doing on their part, Trent saying no to showing the records, I understand HIPPA regulations. The fact that if you have cancer with Trent saying he feared for his life, yet he didn't receive any radiation or chemo makes me suspicious. If he had the type of cancer he had and needed treatment he would have been out at least 2 years not an off-season. The fact that Kyle had a hardon for Trent and hated Snyder, I'm sure he coached him on how to get out of Washington. They fired the medical staff, was given a chance at a fresh start and he wanted none of it and got screwed on the trade. |

Yeah i know the story. Bottom line is for one reason or another Trent wanted out and I don’t blame him. Fresh start would have meant he squandered the rest of his career here. Ask Jonathan Allen what he thinks about playing for this franchise. |

So many people could not wait for Kirk to leave. It's been 6 years since and we have not found anyone close to as good as he has been. Ron let Brandon and Moses go and brings in a guy like Wylie. lol. The issue w/ Trent may not have been salvageable. |

Allen is pissed off at the coaches and they'll be gone next year, he'll give new ownership a chance. Different situation. |

Oh 100 percent but that wasn’t the case with Trent. Snyder is still laughing somewhere. That little sneaky fuck. |
Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
We really don't need to fully re-visit the Trent situation. Bottom line we mishandled it, he should have been with us his entire career and retired as one of the best players in team history. He's a sure fire Hall of Fame and we got a 3rd and a 5th for him. We botched it big time. Just one of many fuck ups under Dan.

agreed . . . there was so much misinformation and lies coming from both sides . . . and TW just wanted out. did he make up his excuses to gain public support . . . some of them, yes . . . who knows on the rest. No matter, because he didn't want to be here for years already. For years he as either injured or playing injured and not anywhere near as effective as he has been in San Fran . . . i personally don't believe it was just health. I believe it was desire and effort. i hope he blows up his knee!! or knees (both of them)!!! |

And that m’fer will probably enter the HOF as a forty whiner instead of Redskin/Commander which is a slap in the face of all fans who supported his ass in Washington. Fuck him!! |

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
Interesting development...
Washington hired Eugene Shen as its senior vice president of football strategy to oversee all analytics and software development for football operations; he will start Nov. 6 and report to Coach Ron Rivera. The hire, according to a person with direct knowledge of the matter, was a months-long process that began during training camp, shortly after Harris finalized his $6.05 billion purchase of the Commanders. The final decision, that person said, was discussed and reviewed across football operations, business operations and ownership, and all were aligned. Shen’s work will span multiple departments, including coaching, personnel and football administration, to collaborate on all strategies for the football operation. “Bringing Eugene’s level of expertise to lead our analytics and software development enables us to build on our data capabilities to help inform decision-making,” Coach Ron Rivera said in a written statement from the team. “Eugene brings a great deal of practical NFL experience, and we look forward to bringing him into our conversations about the vision of our team going forward.” I wonder who wrote Rivera's statement for him? ;) |
Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
The Original HOGS were one of the Best Oline units in NFL history …. Nothing Washington has done since those days even come close … Trent was a great LT and is one of the best … it’s a damn shame some of the younger Hard core fans may never Experience the thrill of it all …. I can remember every game in that playoff run … wow

Both great. Jacoby did have the luxury of four other great players next to him and a great line coach/ HC scheming. Trent did not. Both definitely HOF’ers |

Jacoby wasn’t even drafted vs Williams 4th overall and Trent did have some pretty good lines in the field and off. |

You're at like a 7 right now, you need to be at a 3 or so. Why are you getting excited anyways? Ron stays, Ron goes, we're not winning a title this year which should always be the goal. I'm just passing it on so we can do what we do best on this site, which is discuss the sad state of our team. |

Radiation and chemo aren't the only forms of treatment for cancer. My dad had a small hole in the back of his head and it was skin cancer - he had one operation where they blasted layers and layers of skin until the small 1/4" hole turned into a 2" hole and the cancer was eradicated. My point is we had no idea what it was - all we knew is it could've potentially been a problem. Obviously Trent didn't feel wanted or appreciated so he wanted out. I wish we could've kept him but he was the last in a long line of quality players to feel like this team fucked them. It is what it is. |
Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
Sometimes a guy can shine in a different position. Maybe EB was born to be a HC (we know he wasn't born to be a playcaller). If/when Rivera is fired, let EB take the reins. And let the new GM make the call for next season.

Re: Potential GM/HC/Coaches Thread
Quite frankly, at this point I can't see how EB can be any worse than RR, so giving him the job and clearing out the chaff in the coaching and FO ranks at this point can either help us turn the season around or help identify the offseason needs a lot sooner than week 19.
