With Saints winning we have the tie breaker on SoS over the Pats.

From NFL.com

Assuming there are no ties in the critical games, the Commanders can clinch the second selection in these two scenarios:
NO beats ATL & 2 of CHI, DEN, BAL & HOU lose OR
All 4 of CHI, DEN, BAL & HOU lose

NO beat ATL
BAL, HOU both lost

So we just have to lose to Dallas and give them the NFC East title :puke:

HOU won.

Ultimately you’re right.

Pats need the following
All 4 of PIT, IND, GB & LV lose
Pit won.

I’m worried we don’t pack it in.
Can we start Logan Thomas at qb?
Yes, shows how much good coaching and motivation works. To be fair their roster was in pretty good condition and there was stability in the front office. Don't go expecting that here. The have a pro bowl LT and at least two other 1st rounders on the OL
Kenyon Green their 1st rounder from 2022 isn't good, Shaq Mason their RG they got in FA

Here's hoping Arizona beats Seattle. Don't like Seattle, and would mean we only rotate with NE during the draft.

I don't think those two matter, but the Cards winning means we rotate between 2nd, 3rd picks, not 2nd,3rd, 4th picks.

Daily reminder higher pick =/= better player. Draft pick doesn't mean shit if your coaching staff and scouts are terrible.

true, but I am relying on the fact that we are bringing in a better FO. Hence a higher draft pick == better player. If we don't bring in a better FO it won't matter anyways.

It matters when you have a top 2 pick and you desperately need a solid qb.

But if we pick the wrong qb we are fucked. Tons of pressure on the incoming FO. If the scouts all agree there's one clear-cut frontrunner and then the GM decides he likes the guy with the 3rd round grade the potential to get fucked is there.

The rest of the draft is all a crapshoot. But the 2nd pick? We have soooo much riding on that.

I've been waiting 20+ years (my entire fandom) for an 11 win Commies team. May the odds ever be in our favor.

Witnessing the Browns and the Lions both do it in my lifetime before we did hurts. We're the last ones left in the 20 years of shit dumpster fire.

Their defense checked the F out over the past couple of weeks. They will go out in the first round of the playoffs. I can't see how they can win a game.

Their D coordinator should be fired in their offseason. Absolutely unacceptable

It really speaks negatively of me that I watched the 02-04 Redskins and thought "golly gee whillikers, this football thing looks fun! I should root for this team :D )

My first game was Darrell Green's retirement game against the Cowboys in 02. It was raining and they were playing lousy so we left at halftime. By the time we got home they won the game. Look at this recap! Haha holy shit they were so bad. Snyder owned the team since 99 and it took 3 years to get him his first win against the Cowboys. Seriously though, I must have brain damage rooting for this squad. Everyone I grew up with rooted for other teams. Snyder ruined 2 generations worth of potential Redskins fans.

I wanted to improve in the lower rounds we had already secured the #2 before I posted this. If AZ had lost we'd have improved by 1 pick in rounds 2, 3, 5 and 6.

Well it's not as bad as you think. Last week a journalist asked Riggins which team would win today if they played each other the 1982 Redskins or this year's Commanders. Riggins conceded it would be close but the 1982 team would still win - he thought 21-17.

Journalist was shocked asked why he thought that - Riggins pointed out that he and most his teammates were in their 70s and not in top game shape.

That was a fabricated quote as Riggins never said such a thing. It was a quote via Michael Jordan in which someone changed the words and attached it to Riggins.
