R. Thomas Out with Triceps Injury
Redskins right guard Randy Thomas injured his right triceps and is out for the remainder of the game. He will be replaced by Will Montgomery, a third-year player from Virginia Tech. Thomas had neck surgery in the offseason, and his health was one of the reasons the Redskins felt good about their first-team offensive line going into the season. Montgomery is in his first season with the Redskins.
Thanks. Must have missed that -- but definitely not good news. Looks like we're on borrowed time with Randy Thomas. |
definitely. still playing down to our competition. i see a bad season ahead us, maybe a detroit like season.
Every friggin drive is a struggle of epic proportions. This team has ZERO big play ability. If you always need 15 plus plays to score, something bad is bound to happen sooner or later. Rams are going to come out fired up. |
Re: Rams vs. Redskins Gameday Thread
Jason has tons of time and still we're not doing anything.
Who knows why we're so conservative on offense. Our Oline is actually givinb us time but I guess we're not getting open. This is certainly a strange game. As long as we keep it within a TD even a team like the Rams can win the game. |
Unfortunately, this is a complete continuation of poor play from last year. UNPROFESSIONAL.
If these guys cannot do it, I hope our coaching staff will be evaluating for the shake up that MUST come. If this continues to be the norm this season, I would much rather be in rebuilding the O mode than year after year 'Terminal Patient"............mode
I want you to be the one to pull the plug on the Skins. :D |
Re: Rams vs. Redskins Gameday Thread
The defense needs to make a stop here.

Re: Rams vs. Redskins Gameday Thread
Well if Sellers and Thomas hadn't of dropped the ball in the endzone and Moss hadn't of fumbled...we'd be looking pretty good right now. The offense has been moving the ball and Zorn called plays that had players with their hands on the ball in the endzone. Player mistakes are what's hurting us.

LOL.. Chuby hands.

Re: Rams vs. Redskins Gameday Thread
I think the offense looks fine, just soem idiots dropping balls or fumbling. You can't play down Campbell's and Cooley's performance today. These mistakes will cause any offense lose a game against anyone.
I honestly don't see how anyone can say that. Yeah, they're able to get short to intermediate yardage, but that's it. Still nothing downfield to the outside receivers -- there's no cohesion, it's not organized. And of course, no TDs. At best, the O is uneven today -- a mixed bag. |

I think we'll win.

If "Ifs and buts were candy and nuts"...makes me think of Ken Beatrice back in the day...
If only Stephen Jackson was stopped on that long run. If only Robinson dropped the fade. If only Leonard Little was in jail for manslaughter... |

I agree on the DT drop, but they have to go to the end zone more than one time when they're within the 10 yard line. They don't have to wait until it's 3rd and goal. Furthermore, they don't have to wait until they're within the 10. Where are the TD attempts from the 20? The 30? |

We still have a half to go. :) |
Re: Rams vs. Redskins Gameday Thread
Damn this team is hard to watch when the defense can't get off the field. Our offense has dominated the game and still 6 points. Why do we never get any breaks when the flag is thrown ( Roughing the passer fumble recovery, get pass interference flag picked up). We get hosed any time the Refs make a call. This has been happening for the last 7 years or more. This just kills me to watch this team make so many mistakes.
