Hurt early. Looked minor like a cramp but he never came back. Josh Wilson took his place at FS.

Meriweather survived an entire game!

<edit>
Update, Rambo was suffering from PMS:

You guys notice that Meriweather took out Orakpo for a short time yesterday? So here is the total for Meriweather through 2 games, He has lead with his head 3 times and taken out Eddie Lacy, himself, and a team mate Orakpo. If he will just go head first into the goal post, he will hit for the cycle !!!!
RG3 is the 20th rated passer folks. 20th. But yet people spewing that garbage he is fine. 20th rated passer is not fine. Not at all. Dont bring that garbage again this week.
He is lucky to be ranked 20th. Take away junk yards and he is closer to 30th.

Ok, who was the RB who leveled the Lions Right End (I Think) on a play. I was surprised the bad announcers did not pick up on the hit. The guys feet were over his head as he came down.

Yeah, for all of the we want BM back to help with the safety position, I really haven't seen the guy do much. Morris needs to sit his ass down and teach him how to wrap up. All he does is launch himself when he is attempting to make a tackle. I don't know if it is his injury or just the way he plays.

Interesting that Rambo was only cramping and never saw anymore action. JW must have done a decent job at FS to not warrant his return.

The one thing RG3 can do immediately to help turn this team around is to not commit two completely unforced turnovers.

Outside of that, none of this mess is on the quarterback.

I understand that he's probably the one guy on the roster who is trying to gut it out at less than solid health, but he starts and finishes every play out of position, and you need to be some kind of athlete to make up for that.

Agreed 1000%.

Although without his pretty bad turnovers, this team might be 2-1 going back to Philly.

Still, while I don't think Rg3 has played great, I do see him getting better and more comfortable and still happy to have him as my QB.
B. Mitch makes a good point... We made over 400 yards of offense, but only had 13 points on offense.

That's pretty bad.
Not enough trips to the redzone.

Re: Redskins Lions postgame

Ha, I just thought of something. JW did help shore up the safety position we only gave up 386 passing yards to Stafford instead of the 480+ we gave up to Rodgers. Either that or GB is just better by 100 yards....

I noticed more than a few times yesterday ( the announcers alluded to it later in the broadcast ) that the back end of the defense is not working very well together pre snap at all. Miss communication, bad alignment, sometimes guys on the outside look like they have no idea what the play call are or thier assignments, and of course frustration. This is before the ball is even snapped. The Lions two scoring drives in the first half is where this was evident.

That's all on the coaching and the LB getting the calls out to the defense.

I've heard a couple of analysts note that it doesn't seem like anyone on the back half knows what coverages they are in. B. Mitch said he was watching the Packers game with Shawn Springs and Springs wondered numerous times what coverage scheme we were running because it didn't make any sense. It goes to something that Keim said years ago from a former coach that while Haslett has some sound blitz packages, his coverage schemes are very suspect and sometimes flat out flawed.

Examples, Riley man up on Cobb last week? On the final TD to Megatron he had Kerrigan and Riley in zone with Merriweather over the top inside the 10 yard line? Really?!?! I'd rather us pressure and play man on the back end. At least we could get some hurries or sacks because our coverage unit is pathetic.

I'm just insanely frustrated with how thins have turned out. I don't know.

I tend to agree that Robert is getting better with each game. We just have to patient. This is only his third game this year. Didn't get much work in training camp or preseason. I really think things will click with this team. As bad as the defense has been, I can't imagine where'd we be without Kerrigan and some of the plays by D.Hall. We'll find our way.

A change in defensive coaching might be in order. I don't know if Rah is the answer, but Has' time may have run it's course here in D.C. Bottom line, until Robert starts to turn it up a notch the team will probably continue to play spotty instead of dominating football.
