I'm really gonna love this dude if this stuff starts coming true.
I'll take their #12 and their second and both their 4ths.
I'd do it for the 12th pick, their 2nd, and as little as one of their 4ths. Of course, I'd try to get more. I consider this to be the first year of our rebuild and we need more good players everywhere, so I'd compromise to get those additional picks. We're going to get an excellent prospect at #12, possibly La'el Collins, Bud Dupree, Shane Ray, or Randy Gregory. At #43 (Brown's 2nd) there will be very good players available, such as Donovan Smith, Paul Dawson, Ameer Abdullah, and Eric Rowe. At #115 (Brown's second 4th) we might be able to get another good prospect, such as Alex Carter, Ali Marpet, or Tre' Jackson. |

I can hardly wait until the draft action starts. He definitely has me believing that we're gonna get better with the players we pick in this draft. p.s. Why do I love this event so much? I really don't know - I just do. |

This guy knows what he is doing |
Re: With the 5th pick in the draft the Washington Redskins select...
i love the confident way McCloughan talks. He doesnt try to sell himself. he doesnt need to. he reminds me of a successful trial attorney. he knows what he is doing. he knows not many can do what he does ... . and it comes natural and easy to him.
im really excited for this draft bc of the options. we stay at 5 and get a premier potential player, we trade back and let Scot take some chances. its all good. |

Does the Browns first round curse come with the pick? Or does it only apply if we pick a QB with it? |

Well since 1994 we've chosen, Heath Schuler, Patrick Ramsey, Jason Campbell, and RGIII. Jury may still be out on RGIII but we haven't exactly been blessed ourselves with first round picks on QBs. Hopefully we don't take one in the first trade or not. 😉 |
Re: With the 5th pick in the draft the Washington Redskins select...
The Browns have reportedly talked to every team that picks in the Top 10 about a trade. I read that they are willing to trade both of their firsts for the opportunity to draft Marcus Mariota. If that is the only goal they have in mind, I doubt that we'll be able to trade down with them because I'd be shocked if Mariota doesn't go second.
However, if Leonard Williams is still there at #5, Scot said that he might trade down for more picks. That would be with some team other than the Browns, I assume. I can't quite fathom the value of that trade since Williams is the best player in the draft, IMO, and there wouldn't two 2015 first round picks to be had in return. I think we could always use a future All-Pro DL to dominate our opponents. |

just a scary reminder to do your home work on a guy. |

He has a blue print on how to do things. But with that being said, he passed on Aaron Rodgers for Alex Smith. In other words, just like every NFL GM, he has bad misses. |

I know he's not a 3-4 end but he's potentially a great player. |
Re: With the 5th pick in the draft the Washington Redskins select...
^ I have a feeling he would draft Williams, actually. Having said that, if someone was going to make a Cerrato-like offer for a ton of picks, we'd be crazy not to at least listen to it. But I have a feeling that williams will be off the board by 5 anyway.
BTW, would be cool: On offense, meet our enforcer, Mr. Williams. On defense, meet our enforcer Mr. Williams. Williams v. Williams in practice would be a awesome thing to behold. |
