I don't know shit about astrology...so what is a capricorn?
I'm not into astrology, but I do think the characteristics of a person's sun sign are accurate. This site is pretty good for explaining them. The Scorpio one pretty much fits me to a tee. Sun Signs in the Zodiac Astrology Information |
Yes it would be. I sat and talked to alot of WW2 vets that week over several cases of beer. I gained more wisdom in that week than I had in my early 20's.
That's great. I'll bet they had some great stories just about life overall back in the day |
Congats, your big and clumsy.
Just cause you're big doesn't mean you're clumsy. I was an all american soccer player (2nd team). I was also an all star NAIA Div. 1 All star Short stop, and still hold the Harding University school record for longest run from Scrimmage 82 yards (as a QB)...scramble because the coverage was too good. I'm 260 now, but I can still run and am very agile. |
Thomas...named after my grandfather that I never met. In fact I only ever met my grandmother on my father's side...she died on easter morning when I was 7.
I never met any of my Grand fathers and only one of my grand mothers. |
I would have forgiven myself. It is not your fault he got into the ting.
But I knew I shouldn't have fought him. He barely made my weight class, and I witnessed his previous fights. I wasn't even trying and I was beating him. Then he got in a lucky upper cut, and I got mad...really mad. Now he's not the same. That bothers me. I know it's just a competition, but it's just a game. Not even for anything serious like a belt or something. Just a match, and I almost killed a guy. I know it's easy to say it's not my fault, and I know it really isn't, but until it happens to you, you just don't know how it feels. I remember some guy being killed in the ring when I was younger, and I always thought to myself "it's not his fault, the other guy chose to get into the ring", but now I know better. I wager that any guy that has killed someone in the ring has been significantly changed from it. It does something to you. So much so that I have never fought again. |

They did, and it wasn't just American vets there. Men from every country involved in the war were there. We were watching Paratroopers jump into St Marygleese or something like that. Anyway there was a German Nazi soldier sitting in a wheelchair next to an American Allied soldier. They were both asked "Do you to feel bitter towards each other?" They both responded with "No, because at the time they were just soldiers doing their job. That good guy and bad guy attitude is stuff for the movies and highly innaccurate." That response humbled me. |

I am not clumsy. I was the biggest running back ever in my high schools history at 324lbs in my junior year and 308lbs in my senior year. I also wrestled and I can run a mile in under 8 minutes 7:56 to be exact. |

Sun Signs in the Zodiac Astrology Information
well, some of it is right on the money: Capricorn is one of the most stable and (mostly) serious of the zodiacal types. These independent, rocklike characters have many sterling qualities. They are normally confident, strong willed and calm. These hardworking, unemotional, shrewd, practical, responsible, persevering, and cautious to the extreme persons, are capable of persisting for as long as is necessary to accomplish a goal they have set for themselves. They are reliable workers in almost any profession they undertake. They are the major finishers of most projects started by the 'pioneering' signs; with firm stick-to-it-ness they quickly become the backbone of any company they work for. Capricornians make of themselves, resourceful, determined managers; setting high standards for themselves and others. They strive always for honesty in their criticism of self, they respect discipline from above and demand it from those beneath them. In their methodical, tough, stubborn, unyielding way, they persist against personal hardship, putting their families and/or their work before their own needs and welfare to reach their objectives long after others have given up and fallen by the wayside. In fact when practical ability allied with the drive of ambition are required in employees to make a project succeed, Capricornians are the people to hire. They plan carefully to fulfill their ambitions (which often include becoming wealthy), they are economical without meanness, and able to achieve great results with minimum effort and expense. Because of their organizing ability they are able to work on several projects simultaneously. I am extremely calm under the worst of pressures. I do not feel that getting upset or out of control is the answer in any scenario. I have dealt with about anything under the sun including death (I was an EMT). I no longer put work above family, but I used to. I decided that was a trait I didn't like. I am very impatient though...and supposedly capricorns are patient. Also, I am not that serious of a person...I joke a TON, and try to be as positive as possible so others around me have a good time. I smile CONSTANTLY which is why I get along with so many people. I have a pleasant demeanor. |

That's pretty good for a guy your size! The best I did was 5 min and 1 second. I wanted to break that 5 minute mile, but never could. I also wanted to run a marathon, but only got to 18 miles. |
