Thats the sickest part. So many organizations seem to withhold taking basic action until they start to look at moral issues as business decisions. Does XYZ corporation really support gay rights, sure so long as it helps the bottom line and protects us from litigation. Really you guys can't decide to do that without thinking about cash flows and income statements? Do we really need a chart to decide what to do?

You would think that the perps being protected in these situations were on the verge of curing AID's or Cancer. Like if we could just hold off for a little bit on exposing Sir Rapes-a-lot we can save all these people.

Glad somebody mentioned this. To say the NFL has a domestic abuse/child abuse problem sounds silly. Society has one. I know we have to bring the nfl into the conversation as far as what their stance is, etc. However some people (not necessarily on the WP) make it seem like their is a genetic link between football players and abuse?!?

Well, believe it or not, there's quite a few people that think pandering the Court of Public Opinion is dangerous and not wise. That it in itself leads to being placed in sticky situations.

Our beloved team isn't without its own controversial issues and list of players that have done a variety of morally outrageous things from DUIs to accusations of abuse. Hell, we picked up a guy that went to jail for killing someone while driving drunk.

We picked up Larry Johnson after four arrests for domestic violence. While it was something many mentioned, again it wasn't something that caused outrage...

Fred Davis had issues while on the team.

I'm sure there's plenty more.

This ties in to the Ray Rice video and the Adrian Peterson texts. If it is out of our eye sight we tend not to be able to visualize it properly.

Pretty sad, it seems to be in the manual of business 101. They don't care unless we care, and then only if the moral outrage costs them money. If nobody cares, it's business as usual. Dollar above all. And then, when they do get caught, the apology isn't,"oh man, we've learned the error of our ways." It's, "oh man, we're sorry we got caught."

Lets do some what if's ,what if some of the accusations thrown at some of these stars aren't true ? You make 11 million a year and a women says he hit me or an ex ......and many of you who have them have bitch about them for lying ,an ex says he abused my child ,and then find our months hell maybe even a year or two later it's not true , what then ?I ask because I know of a case similar and before the others jump me , NO I don,t believe in hitting kids or women and the ones that do should be fully prosecuted ,period .What if the accusations are not true ?

I think the money gives the victim more reason to hide the abuse than to falsely accuse a NFL player. Especially now that careers are at stake. A silent victim can receive a lot of compensatory pay but if the accused suddenly has no income then what does a fake victim gain?

I still think the Vikings are handling this situation better than the Ravens handled Ray Rice. I'm not saying they're doing a good job, but more like the lesser of two evils.

I wonder if the Vikings were making that decision or the NFL? I think the Vikings made their decision 24 hours before with reinstatement, what changed since to go back? Anheuser Busch change things maybe? I think this was the NFL saying, nope he doesnt play.

I think the Vikes just had their hands forced sooner. They both would have handled it equally as horrible for equally as long if given the opportunity.
