Outside of Vernon Davis, he was the least excited guy that had been connected with us. Just resign hatcher, he's a more productive player than Chris long.
It's not the same position. Long is 268 pounds, he would have been an OLB here. |
Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016
Love me some Junior Galette, this is a big deal.
I think a number of us here fully appreciate what he can bring to a defense, but Redskins nation by and large doesn't know how big a deal this is. What could have been last season if he were healthy. Skins fans would view it as almost blasphemous to say, but he's a significantly better pass rusher than Ryan Kerrigan or Brian Orakpo ever was. Big dog is going to be motivated this year to earn the long term deal he seeks. |
Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016
When I hear someone is "working" Trent Williams, I definitely get excited.

Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016
Can't wait for our pass rush next season,
Kerrigan, Gallette, Smith (I really like Houston Bates as a rusher) all coming from the outside, then beef up and let Trent Murphy put his hand in the dirt (he is great against the run and could be a disruptive 3-4 DE) with backer and Freaky Jean, then one of these stud linemen from the draft. That will make an O-line coach sweat at night. |

There was talk of him getting bigger and moving positions, he 6'6" and has room for additional weight. |

Great point. I didn't even think of this. Would fit GM SM's vision perfectly. Great call. |

And someone else was saying this too.

Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016
Only six players had 10+ sacks in both the 2013 and 2014 seasons. Junior Galette was one of them.

Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016
Excited about Galette. I dont know much about Bruton, but the orange mane seems disappointed which is always a good sign.
"He deserves the opportunity to compete for a starting spot somewhere. He's been nothing short of a pro's pro for us. Great ST leader and deserves every penny he gets. Nothing but a class act." ** ive never seen a team fan forum speak such high praise for a guy. David Bruton signs with the Redskins - The Orange Mane - a Denver Broncos Fan Community Seems to check all of SM boxes - pro's pro, plays ST, young enough at 29 at start of the season ... 3/9 mil 1.5 = very manageable. --------------------------------------------------- Nicki Jhabvala ✔ @NickiJhabvala Broncos worked to keep Bruton, even matching the Redskins' offer. Came down to playing time. 5:18 PM - 15 Mar 2016 ^^^^ that dude SM can talk football. ----------------------------------------------------- his twitter is all about kids, family, community, working out and eating healthy ..... Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016
David Bruton deal: $9M, $3.4M gtd, $2.5M signing bonus, salaries $900,000 (gtd), $2.25M, $2.75M; $15,625 per game active, $500K escalator
a cap hit of about $1.7 million in 2016 |
Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016
Redskins re-signed C Josh LeRibeus.
LeRibeus started 11 games at center last season, but appeared overmatched while grading out as Pro Football Focus' No. 30 center out of 40 qualifiers. With Kory Lichtensteiger back healthy, LeRibeus will be an interior backup. My guess is Stefan Wiz aint coming to town, probably too expensive in McC eyes. |
Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016
I think the Galette signing puts us closer to picking a corner with the first pick.
Eli Apple, come on down.... |

Re: Redskins Free Agency 2016
Have I mentioned how much I am loving this year's free agency? Taking care of our own and adding quality, versatile players like Bruton.
