Re: The Official 2007 Draft Discussion Thread
Great, so our two picks so far are a guy named Landry and a guy named Dallas. Wonderful.
First we draft a guy named Landry, and now a guy named Dallas.......wtf?
That's pretty good...I didn't even pick up on that...anyone named Irvin left on the board? |
Re: The Official 2007 Draft Discussion Thread
DL will obviously be addresed via FA this year or draft next year. Getting an undersized LB is worthless. I say do what I used to do when I played Madden '99 franchise mode, which is sign the 1-3 rounders(if that) and drop the rest. Anybody left on the board now would be virtually worthless to sign and no upgrade to what we have.

Re: The Official 2007 Draft Discussion Thread
There is still some good talent left.

Yes, running an NFL Franchise as you would a video game team would be quite savvy. |
Yeah exactly, field goals have been a huge problem for us the last few years, and i dont have much faith in shaun suisham
Suisham is the guy. I think he is the best kicker we've had in a long time. |
Re: The Official 2007 Draft Discussion Thread
doh! yeah its mason crosby not nathan . . . the kid can boom the ball, would be nice to have a leg so when dont have to punt when were 35 plus yards out like we did alot last year . . and some touchbacks would be nice
He's still available, and we could use a good kicker. |

It would be more effective than the group that is running our team. |
Re: The Official 2007 Draft Discussion Thread
How about taking Courtney Taylor WR , Auburn if he is still around in the 6th.
They say his best season was with Jason Cambell throwing to him. |

That's not hard to do. We've had some HORRIBLE kickers. I am not convinced Suisham is the man. That kid out of Colorado has an NFL leg, and could do better than the 4 TB's that Suisham had last year. At worst, draft him and use him as competition...if Suisham wins, then so be it. |

Re: The Official 2007 Draft Discussion Thread
Would love to get duckworth the guard from auburn instead or Patrick would be a nice TE.

Re: The Official 2007 Draft Discussion Thread
Minn just got a good value with Rufus Alexander in the 6th

Re: The Official 2007 Draft Discussion Thread
Has Brandon Slier ILB, Fla been drafted...If not why hasn't he? He is rated pretty high in everything I have read.
