You know I watch Brandon Weeden, Kirk Cousins, Tannehill, etc and I think okay well maybe there isn't such a big difference between them and Griffin. Then I go back and watch Griffin and I realize that it's not even close.

I mean Cousins is fun to watch because he's mostly working under center with a lot of two tight end sets and single back formations and you feel like you're seeing what he'll look like t the next level.

You watch Weeden and you see a lot of nice intermediate throws and some good stuff deep.

You watch Tannehill and you feel comfortable with how far he's progressed in such a short period of time, in a pro style offense no less.

However you go back to Griffin and you see him constantly under attack. Running for his life half the time and you realize that thats what it's going to be like in the NFL for any of these QB's. I'm watching Brandon Weeden and I see him standing tall in the pocket for 5 or 6 seconds easy. Cousins has a few of those games to, as does Tannehill but from what I see few of them were pressured more then Griffin.

Then theres the deep ball and you see the ease in which he throws it and how he gets on target where only his reciever can get it and you realize that you're trying to compare a luxury high end car to an economy car. I mean not only does he avoid pressure and buy time but by buying that time he gives the recievers time to get open down field.

I'm sorry I want to believe that the drop off from Griffin to the other three guys we're looking as is minimal, I really want to believe but the fact is it's not. Griffin made more big plays while under pressure then any of the other guys did in the videos I've watched on them.

I hope we've already made a plan to have him at Redskins Park at 8 AM on the 9th. It only takes one team to check his health and sign him and then he's off the market.

This just confirms that I still want this guy and he is less of a risk than RGIII and all that it will take to get him.

pfffffttttt
So he plays for two years (not exactly enough time to build a dynasty) and then we start all over again....screw that.

Well to go off what you are implying, lets say RGIII is a bust. It takes the team 3-4 years to finally make the decision not to give him another chance. We trade four to five draft picks for him, and slug along for 4 years never accomplishing more than we have in the last three years.

Going through a HC or two in the process.

Just saying. There is risk to it all, and this is what this decision is going to be either way. For me I see the risk in signing PM to a deal is what you said above: two years and he is done. BTW if we only get two years out of him because he is never gets fully heathy. This would get us in position to fix the problem again. RGIII is not the only good quarterback to come out over the next few years. The reward is getting 4-5 good to great years out of him, and winning a lot of games between now and then.

Trust me I get RGIII. If we were drafting in a position to draft him, I would draft him. BUT Peyton Manning's don't hit the market to often.

I'll stick w sighing Manning and keeping all those picks

I have zero interest in Manning. I have no idea what the lovefest here is for him. I'd rather have any other option though Griffin/Grossman is my ideal (with a McCoy/Leinart/Quinn 3rd stringer).

So you are saying u would take grossman over Manning?

Re: QB Combo Possibilities: Which Do You Want (QB Rumors: Verse 10)

I'd be stoked to have Peyton Manning.

I'd be stoked to have Griffin even if it means trading several picks.

The only thing I won't be stoked about is if we come away from this offseason without a high-quality QB. It's time to end the era of QB mediocrity one way or another.

Re: QB Combo Possibilities: Which Do You Want (QB Rumors: Verse 10)

I'd rather have Griffin. If not Griffin, than maybe McCoy (if available & we wouldn't have to sell the farm) or some other free agent and draft another qb. Manning is not a good fit here.
