Re: Redskins agree to trade for No.2 overall pick in 2012 Draft
I read many of the post on the RGIII trade for our 1st-2012,1st-2013,1st-2014, and 2nd-2012. Look the 2012 1st rd pick we moved up 4 spots and the Rams moved down 4 spots, so we gave them our 2012-2nd. I would have rather gave them a lower pick say our 4th or 3rd 2012 pick. So really we gave up (2) 1st rd picks (2013-2014) and 2012 2nd rd pick. Is it to much? Maybe but we have never had a franchise QB that we drafted. Ramsey and Campbell are the last 2 QB's we have taken in the 1st round. I would rather have RGIII 6-2, 220 lb, 4.41 speed who has a rocket of a arm and is very smart. He is not a knucklehead who will get into off the field incidents or fail a drug test. He is the new breed of QB that you need to keep defensive Cordinators up all night. Im riding with RGIII and Redskins Nation to keep this thing fixed. Many of you were not even around when we were winning Super Bowls. So what if we lose a few bandwagon fans, we don't need you cause your dead weight. HTTR

Ross Tucker with the best tweet of the night lol
Ross Tucker @RossTuckerNFL No such thing as giving up too much for truly elite QB. If he's not, everyone's getting fired anyway so who cares? |
Re: Redskins agree to trade for No.2 overall pick in 2012 Draft
Ross Tucker. Brilliant. Who gives a damn what we gave up right now. We have our QB of the future. On to free agency.

Re: Redskins agree to trade for No.2 overall pick in 2012 Draft
everyone (except warriorzpath) was saying peyton, rg3, or bust... well peyton said no, so guess what? we got the other guy. it's really that simple. and yeah, the price sucks, but if he wins superbowls, no ones going to say anything about it besides how stupid the rams were to pass on him... and if he sucks, everyone's fired and it's the same old crappy season that we're all used to anyways.

Re: Redskins agree to trade for No.2 overall pick in 2012 Draft
Didn't know what thread to put this in didn't want to start another.
New draft board: Round 3- Harrison Smith S, Mitchell Schwartz OT ,Alameda Ta'aamu NT Round 4-, Nate Potter OT, Brandon Brooks OG, , Lardarius Green TE, Aaron Henry S Round 4- Chris Rainey SP, Terrance Ganaway RB/FB, Round 5-Devier Posey and BPA, |
Now let's get him some help at WR, this is a great trade for us idc what we gave up he's a future star QB and now we have a face finally
2014 First round really burns me. I could careless about the second this year and next years first...but that additional 1st? ugh
But im with you 100% 30, I gonna stick my head in the sand and at 430 in the morning, start drinking again...HTTR!
Wish it was conditional at least. If RGIII is a bust and doesn't start at least half the games in 2013 the pick turns into a 2nd or 3rd. Is that even possible? |

That would've been nice. I'm hearing the Browns attempted to match our offer but we already had an agreement in place with the Rams. So, the Rams didn't renig on the deal after it was in place. |

Re: Redskins agree to trade for No.2 overall pick in 2012 Draft
It's not 3 1st rounders, we're swapping 1's this year, so we would be giving up 2 first rounders.

Re: Redskins agree to trade for No.2 overall pick in 2012 Draft
Giants gave up what was thought to be alot for Eli to move up a few spots. We all know how that turned out...
I guess they like RGIII enough...so I'll trust MS on this one. |

Yea, a lot of people seem to be misquoting this trade. The media is portraying it as 3 first rounders though. Two first rounders and a second round pick. I was hoping I would wake up this morning to hear the 2nd round pick being mentioned wasn't included but no luck with that. |
