@HTTR24_7: WOW.. So @kevinandrock are reporting RGIII had a sprained ACL and LCL following the Ngata hit..
@HTTR24_7: Also saying the plan was for the team to announce the acl injury following the season, claiming it was a result of playing on the lcl.
Hmmm |
NONE of his injuries are due to the read option. Its absurd to think that has anything to do with this conversation.
I think what herm was trying to say is do u want Griffin to play 10 yrs or 5 yrs? Meaning he believes griff better stop running if he wants to play long and honestly I kinda agree with him, he's played 1 season and we are already terrified that he has a torn acl |

It is what it is, I am guessing this was the organizations and RG3 decision to take these risks, and now they will have to live with the consequences. |
Re: As long as RGIII is 100% for 2013 training camp...
if he was playing on a sprained acl, well... he shouldn't have been. that's stupid.
it does explain why he's looked awful for 2 weeks though. |
I just saw that. If this is true, what in the holy **** is going on with our coaching staff? Why do we even have a medical staff? Just let the coaching staff take care if.
It's what the majority of us have been saying since he came back. U could tell against Philly it wasn't a grade 1 sprain. He didn't get any better over 4 weeks. It's a shame they didn't pull him after the 1st quarter tweak & especially if they knew the above. Even letting him play at all in the past few weeks was ignorant. |
Re: As long as RGIII is 100% for 2013 training camp...
Not only that but the team would be fined for false disclosure in regards to the injury.
Interesting looking back in regards to Shanahan's faux pas on his press conference after the Baltimore game. LL @HTTR24_7 @CaptainBudz True.. Shanny did start that presser off on 12/10 saying Rob had a ACL sprain then said LCL later. Reporters had to clarify |
Well let me ask this ,how many times can you rebuild a knee before .....it affects play?Already been done in College and now seems like it will be done after 1 year in the NFL,I don't know so I'm asking, how much more can his knee take?
The option offense has nothing to do with rg3 getting hurt. Only fools like Herm Edwards try to connect the two because they are stupid and lazy. That said, you do have a good point about repeated knee injuries... They take a toll. Rg3s knee will always be more susceptible to injury and I highly doubt it ever feels "good" again. |

but the acl wasn't from the running, if anything its due to his fearlessness. that's what I hope can be brought to the NFL level. He can run, but slide or get out of bounds, no more hurdling or cutting back in at the last second and twisting that knee. Even hobbling he was able to get out of bounds in this game. I don't want to take away his athletic threat but I want him to protect himself and his team. I am reminded of topgun when Iceman at first doesn't accept Maverick because although Mav is dangerous to the enemy its a reckless danger, once Mav controls it, he is a more dangerous pilot. Likewise Griffin running right now is a danger to our opponent and to himself, IF Griff learns to protect himself the threat to our opponent will be multiplied tremendously. |

I hope this isn't true...you don't need Roger Gooddell having to take extreme measures on this like he did with concussions. |

I agree about him scaring the defense but I'd rather have him for a Long time then just a couple good years. Let's just hope he'll be ready for 2013 . He's literally already become my favorite player to watch even if I wasn't a skins fan |

Yep, could even lose our 2nd rd pick next year. Speculation of course but if the stories are true there will be a pretty significant punishment. |
Re: As long as RGIII is 100% for 2013 training camp...
We could use another weapon for Griff (healthy).. That game proved that. Dudes fighting to stay on the field and WRs are dropping passes sure the throws weren't the best but someone's gotta step up.
And without a doubt we need help over the top. Madieu wasn't the worst we could do at times he made plays especially against the Viks his old team stands out. But we need help there. Twas a solid season though and im proud of this roster. |

Or Dan fires him to avoid punishment.....again lets hope its not true....good things are happening here and we don't need to be set back |
Re: As long as RGIII is 100% for 2013 training camp...
They didn't falsely discole injury info... If he tore the ACL beyond a sprain we would have knew it. Why would anybody wish that that was the case I don't want negative media and controversy any further than its gone. I just want a new season with a fresh start after a solid season ended in such ill fashion.

The game against Philly and Dallas you could see it was worse than it was reported. Now my question is did the knee brace help at all? It there was no tears shouldn't the knee brace have prevented it? |
