Nobody wants to throw him off the team. Obviously he doesn't want to be here. According to reports he vowed not to play for us anymore. If that is the case we need to be compensated for him.
Yeah, I'm sure he wants to walk away from Millions. |
Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
Amazing people are willing to throw Silverback off the team. FFS, has anyone watched the last couple years?
He's my favorite Redskin.
I felt like I was watching greatness when he wasn't injured. I felt like I was watching an unbelievably gritty performance when he was hurt and still competent. All that being said, a lot of specifics still need to come out before knowing what the right move is. What if all he wants is to guarantee more money in the last year? Or, if he really vowed never to play for us again. The situation is clear as mud right now. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |
If he's as elite as you people claim would should be able to get a first rounder.
He can be elite and effective for our team but not be worth a first round pick to other teams, because they aren't going to get him on a 5 year rookie deal.
If you are saying trade him to get picks you should at least say what a realistic valid offer is Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |

Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
If he's not worth a first round pick then why is he so valuable to us?
Because he is an all pro left tackle who protects our qb and fights through injuries while we have a shot.
Because our next man up is a drop off of considerable proportion. Because we have a rookie qb and having an all pro left tackle makes one less thing the rookie has to focus on especially early in the season Because we have a contract with him that has 2 years still on it Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |

Really I'm just disappointed this list had to be made. |

Pretty sure we all know left tackle is the most important lineman as far as protecting a right handed pocket passer. As far as Trent's trade value the fact he misses 25% of the games and probably has less than 5 years left, diminishes what you would get compared to a typical perennial pro bowler. |

Are you seriously asking if "Trent Williams" is valuable to the Redskins? As a fan of a team that has struggle to find a decent O lineman anywhere in the last 3-5 years I can tell you that as a team you do what you need to do to keep just not a pro bowl but to keep an "ALL PRO" left tackle happy. |

Yeah, well you're welcome to have Flowers back. Maybe Gettleman will send a pick our way for him? |

+1 G1. It speaks magnitudes that someone in our front office not only thought Flowers was a good player, or that he could be salvageable by moving to guard, but by liking him so much we offered him guaranteed money in the form of a signing bonus. I wish we knew who so my opinion of them could be a little lower. |

If he's an "all pro" we should be able to get a first round pick for him, right?
