Biden first press conference: yikes

Re: To 2021 and Beyond .... current politics
We have always had a policy of white foot/black foot er I mean wet foot/dry foot when it has come to the difference between the treatment of Cubans and Haitians. Cubans welcomed with open arms. Haitians? see you later. Yet both are escaping similar political oppression and searching for freedom. I guess the moral of the story is don't try to seek refuge in the strongest political state in the Western Hemisphere if you come from the poorest.

Won’t here nothing about this from the libs now...[/quote] There's literally no point in talking to you. What does it solve? 10+ years here, has either of us made the other see things from a new perspective or added nuance to a rush-to-judgement opinion? No. My time is valuable. Go hit a j and relax Chico, you need it to balance out the Fox News. BTW I don't like either of those decisions, but me complaining on a football forum about POTUS decisions does exactly fuck-all to stop it. He's following Trump's lead, we can inform all we want but in the end he's going to make the decisions. I still trust him to not fuck up more than Trump though, the bar was set low on that one. Trump takes pride in being the heel. |

Largely pushed by a dishonest media and social media presence...as we are seeing with the voting laws passed in Georgia. |

Some posters are more civil and coherent, others less so, but in the end I can not think of an instance where someone on here suddenly or gradually adopted the other point of view. At best maybe luke warm acknowledgement of the most superficial parts (usually followed by a defense of how its still better than the alternative) I still believe if this was any 5 of us having drinks and watching the Skins whoop dallas we would not give two shits about the political crap and would be hi fiving and enjoying the hell out of the camaraderie. Are you saying the dishonest media had a hand in the new voting laws being passed in Georgia? It was the dishonest media that made Republicans in power realize the only way they can win an election is by making voting very difficult for liberal minorities? |

Re: To 2021 and Beyond .... current politics
Suppressing the vote has always been a trademark Republican move. No big surprise there.

Exactly. At the end of the day the black vote shouldn’t really matter. If those assholes had it their way only rich white males would vote. |
