Howell is really good, gamer , tough , he's kinda like a Mayfield tho.. He will make some throws that you scratch your head on

Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
At least the decision making process can be improved, I like what I see from Howell in his highlights so I wouldn't be upset if we draft him. There are a few QB options so it will be interesting to see who WFT draft.
That’s my point .. we continue to let players go without getting nothing .. I’m with you .. get some compensation !!
Again, I'd like to point out this is a terrible draft class so trading good players for picks in this class would be a pretty stupid thing to do. Now if the idea is to trade him for another good veteran that is a different story. |

It's a balance of benefit to the team retaining a player or getting some form of compensation instead of letting them walk in FA. If the benefit outweighs the comp, then they likely stay. Payne's 5th year option is $8.5M, which is not insignificant. He's very good, but arguably when he's been absent, Matty I and Settle filled in fine. I wouldn't be actively shopping him around come the end of the season, but I'd certainly listen to offers. |
Payne is a good player, we need to keep good players
We can sign Ioaniddis and Settle for less than Payne will cost by himself. And he only has 1 year left. As long as the draft compensation is fair, I don't think trading him is a bad idea. It's not necessary if say someone only offers like a 5th rounder. I'd rather have Payne for 1 more year because he is good. But if someone offered a 2nd, I'd do that trade, then work on signing at least 1 of those other 2 guys, and ideally both. |

Did this whole draft class kick your dog? There are good players in every class. There are lots of guys I'd gladly want on my team that will be drafted in 2022. |

The more I read about Howell the more I like him, we could trade down and get him and additional picks. |

I wanted Kyle Hamilton from Notre Dame, he went 1 pick before us. But I like Cross. Him and Cosmi would be super athletic bookends. |
Kurt Warner wore gloves the last few years of his career. That means nothing. Some guys get a better grip w/ these high tec gloves. That hopefully will not stop us from drafting him.
Jim McMahon wore gloves too and recommended it. It's a non-issue as long as it doesn't affect the QB's technique and accuracy. I've thrown with gloves on and the right gloves make no difference to the release. |

I wld be happy with that |
Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Maybe we should just suck another year. I think both Bryce Young and JD Stroud are draft eligible after next year.

Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
We need a QB, so if we pick 1 in Round 1, I won't be mad no matter who he is. I'll support the player and hope it works out.
I think our best option, if available, is to move down to like 20 and pick the best available QB. But if Rivera wants someone at 9 or wherever we end up, I can go with it. |
