Here is an article from Dec. 2001 https://www.theguardian.com/world/2001/dec/07/afghanistan.julianborger1

The Taliban agreed to relinquish their last strong hold and relinquish their weapons in return for amnesty for Omar. We said no to diplomacy and yes to war. I am not saying Taliban would have kept their end of the bargain but we never even considered it.

WE use to have a policy that the US didn't negotiate with terrorists, I agreed with it then and agree with it now.

I mean you really can't. It's heartbreaking when people have to die. But if you keep doing it, more people will die, and terrorists will do it more often.

Saw something similar in Iraq. There was a kidnapping spree on foreigners (for money), but Americans were never targeted because we didn't pay ransom.

Twitter Critics Explode Over Trump's Threat To Jews To Be More Grateful To Him Or Else
Mary Papenfuss

Donald Trump critics had a meltdown on Twitter Sunday after the former president warned Jews to be “more appreciative” of him before it’s “too late.”

Trump posted the startling message Sunday morning on Truth Social.

“No President has done more for Israel than I have. Somewhat surprisingly, however, our wonderful Evangelicals are far more appreciative of this than the people of the Jewish faith, especially those living in the U.S.,” he railed.

Trump also wildly claimed that he was so popular in Israel that he could become the nation’s prime minister.

Supposedly one of the most dangerous things you can do is trying to board a larger ship from a smaller "pilot" boat - you have to time it just right with the waves to avoid going overboard. And that's with a larger ship that is trying to get you onboard. Now imagine you're trying to board a ship that either doesn't know you're there or doesn't want you on board and imagine how much harder that is. RIP to two of the Navy's finest.

Well, to be honest very few Presidents have that trait - frankly I think W is the only one that immediately comes to mind (Not even sure if his father or even Reagan (who was the best post war President) had that trait).

Ultimately the person in charge is Biden and foreign policy is shaped by that administration

I call results above a lil bit more than a stumble. From the Abraham Accords to this?

Whether it’s kowtowing to Iran in the Middle East or the failure of Russian sanctions, rallying funding from Europeans or at home for Ukraine, he ain’t getting it done and results prove it.

Biden submitted, and the Senate passed an aid bill that directly addressed the southern border as well but Johnson pigeonholed it. And people worldwide (in the US too) have died as a result. That is on the Republicans. Biden's incompetence is on the Democrat's, and ultimately we citizens will bear the brunt of both.

Giant this is how you respond to a post you disagree with. Your response (just above this) was back to your normal form of being juvenile, insulting and not and adding a bit of value to the conversation or board.

I think it is time for the Biden administration and Congress to buck up and at the very least threaten to withhold funds from Israel. In the span of a week Netanyahu has been culpable in the death of two Americans Hersh Goldberg-Polin and Aysenur Ezgi Eygi. Not to mention the Palestinian Americans and aid workers that were also killed earlier.

I will give the IDF credit they are very good at mistakenly killing people.

We know they won't do the right thing to close to an election to do the right thing.

Yeah I disagree with all of our old and new elected leaders on this. I support Israel's right to defend itself, but that doesn't include killing civilians who want nothing to do with that conflict.
