Re: Skins-Jags Positives and Negatives
A bad game or two from Cousins and people will be asking when Griff is coming back. lol
Of course. Because everyone knows young QBs should be lighting the world on fire by their 5th career start. If not, they're clearly no better than a career backup. If he doesn't have a few bad games, it would be almost unprecedented. |
At least Cousins can read beyond the first read...RG3 without any speed or escapability is about as worthless as it gets. People are still enamored with is 2012 performance instead of seeing him for what he has become...a hapless deer caught in a headlight.
This is football, next man up...if Cousins sucks, off with his head and onto the next one. p.s. I hope I wasn't too trolly.
People seem to miss this point, Cousins isn't the end all savior, but right now he is a better qb than RG3 before the latest injury. We spent all 2013 being patient and supportive of RG3. For now move on. |

The Cleveland game - his first start was meaningful and so is this game coming up. Last year was just garbage time on a sinking ship with a bunch of deflated players around him. |
Re: Skins-Jags Positives and Negatives
yeah, the number of people pulling out cousins' 2013 stats as if those have any meaning is pretty funny.
Chris Cooley, Brian Mitchell, Scott Jackson, Liz Clarke, for starters
I second this list. As far as other reporters Keim and tandler too have been mentioned. I like Sheehan well enough but Czaban let slip this morning that Sheehan was a Cousins guy. Sometimes reporters find the story they want. |
Back in the early 90's I met Doc during my bar manager days when we did a radio show with 980. I guess it was 570 back in those days. What an asshole. Arrogant, made rude jokes to the staff, I was shocked at how much of a dick he was. Never liked that guy after that.
Yeah I worked with him a few times, flat out rude to everyone around him not wearing a Super Bowl ring...so basically everyone but Charles Mann. |
Re: Skins-Jags Positives and Negatives
Redskins waived S Bacarri Rambo.
It's music to the ears of Redskins fans. Rambo has been a disaster in coverage through the first two weeks, allowing DeAndre Hopkins to go for a 76-yard TD in Week 1 and taking a bad angle on Marcedes Lewis that led to a 69-yard score in Week 2. Brandon Meriweather is now off suspension and ready to reclaim the starting gig per rotoworld. no surprise |

I hope the door does hit him where the good lord split him

Re: Skins-Jags Positives and Negatives
What a wasted draft pick, especially with other options available. Ah well, good riddance.

Re: Skins-Jags Positives and Negatives
I guess they must like what they see in Ihenacho so far. God knows Merriweather will sit some games.

Re: Skins-Jags Positives and Negatives
Call me naive, but I honestly didn't think Rambo would be cut this soon. He had two really bad plays, but Haslett had talked about how outside of those, he'd played really well. I figured that would be enough to keep him around.
That said, I do think it's good he was cut. There shouldn't be a spot on any roster for a backup safety who gives up huge plays in relief and doesn't play special teams. His strength was supposed to be ball skills, but on that touchdown to Mercedes Lewis, he showed anything but ball skills. |
