Re: Kirk Cousins Expected To Start Sunday
Question to ponder: Had Mike and Kyle snagged Manning two years ago as originally intended, assuming this season was as equally disastrous and Manning and Snyder developed a similar relationship to that of the Snyder-Griffin one, would Mike have benched Peyton too?

Anybody listening to sirius mad dog radio? This host is going on and on and on about how the Skins are setting themselves up for a number one overall pick. Lol. I mean for five minutes. Shouldnt some intern be banging on the window? Lol
I find it funny that while everyone is bashing the crap out of MS, and he deserves a lot of heat, the current vets on this team seem to have his back.
As far as Plummer is concerned, his career was in the toilet until MS signed him. MS wants his QB to live at the facility during the off season and Plummer wasn't willing to do that.
I think going from a bad team with zero talent around him to a better one in Denver helped him too. He had one excellent year in Denver. Not sure Shanny was such a genius. |
Re: Kirk Cousins Expected To Start Sunday
Shanahan is a genius and he is never wrong about quarterbacks!!!
“Let me say, when John Beck did come out [of college], I had him rated as the top quarterback coming out that year, and I didn’t even think it was close,” said Shanahan, who traded with Baltimore last August to get Beck. “I had a lot of confidence in John Beck when he came out in 2007. I evaluate the quarterbacks every year, and I do have confidence in John Beck. He was by far my No. 1 guy. I think the world of him.” Shanahan has won one playoff victory in 14 years. Jesus fucking christ can we move on from this overrated self absorbed know it all? He fucking sucks now, and just cause he got lucky drafting running backs in the 6th and 7th round, everyone thinks he is a genius. If he was such a fucking genius, then why risk losing a stud like TD and ALF by letting 31 teams have them up for grabs for 6 straight rounds? He rode Elway to two superbowls, and after he retired, NOTHING. NOTHING, no postseason success, not even an AFC divisional game. Why the fuck is it so hard to see that this guy fucking sucks? |

Taking a page out of your book... what else are the players going to say? Especially the vets that know it's best to just keep your mouth shut and play. |

Outside of NY sports he's not really completely in tune with things. I do think he's funny though. |

It wasnt Mad dog, it was one of his hosts. I forget the dudes name. You are 100% correct about Russo. NY sports, the San Fran Giants, and tennis. He is hysterical, and cannot pronounce the simplest of names. As far as the host tonite, my God it was bad. I was just thinking "dude - please stop". Lol. Apparently the phonelines were lighting up and someone finally told him. It was pretty funny though. |

Interesting question. Who knows? |

Griffin has been horrible. Manning has not. Griffin is a diva who never accepts responsibility for his own failings. Manning is a true leader and takes responsibility for the failings of his teammates. This situation would never happen with manning because manning is a classy hall of fame player and rg3 is like a petulant child who feels he's entitled to respect he hasn't earned. |
Re: Kirk Cousins Expected To Start Sunday
What if.
What if Cousins starts Sunday and the team wins? What happens if Cousins looks better in a typical MS style offense (meaning no option and pocket passing with some roll outs) and the team keeps winning?
This is what i've asked to myself and to the members here many times. What if Cousins simply is the better QB for this team? Griffin had a great rookie season, props to him and much respect where it is deserved, but the NFL, and this team in particular have seen plenty of guys have one good year and then never again play at that elite level. Griffin even if he is 100% healthy is not what he was before. He may never be again. It sure seems like the skins paid a ransom for a guy who might just be a bust. It won't be the first time it happened here and sadly won't be the last time. The smartest thing to do, in my opinion, is to put the best QB on the field. If we all of a sudden look different and Cousins plays well, possibly even winning the final 3 games, then the stage should be set for a true competition next off-season. To not do that i think would be stupid. And we could still get picks should they decide to trade Griffin (although very unlikely). I just wish we were a team where the best man had the job, compared to "we gave up our whole future for this guy, we must start him no mater what", or "he is one of the top paid players, he must start".... |

So basically RG3 in his second year learning while Manning is a vet and knows what to say. Lets remember Manning wasnt quite Manning in his first couple of years. Wasn't it his 4th year where he threw 23 interceptions? Also Manning had deflected blame from himself in his younger days. Imagine if RG3 came out and said they had "protection issues" like Manning did after the Colts played Pitt a couple of years back. Hopefully RG3 will learn just like Manning did how to say the right things and be a better QB. Or maybe Cousins will instead. |

Eli Manning has been proven for years now but this year he's going to end the year having more INTs than TDs, better put that bitch out to pasture, right? He'll NEVER have another good year. There's absolutely no way you can assume RG3 won't be who he was. All signs point to him actually being ABLE to, but he needs 3 things 1) A better coach 2) Some better players and 3) Better mechanics and decision making. Next year (and potentially 2015) is really the big year to tell whether or not Griff is NFL elite material. Hell, I'm not even 100% against pulling RG3 and playing Cousins, but its WAY too early to talk about RG3 being a bust. Jesus, give the guy another healthy year and see what happens. |

I'm comparing 2013 manning to 2013 rg3. We would not have this drama if we'd gotten manning.... However with the cap penalty I'm not sure how we could have anyways. Right now, I don't think rg3 has the respect of his coaches or teammates. He needs to grow up in this offseason if he wants to have a future in the league. |
