Ok seriously what the fuck does everyone see in colt?? what has he ever done?
Can we add Trey Quinn to this list? Some people act like he's the next Gary Clark. |
Re: ALEX SMITH and moving forward.
Lol. This is why i cannot stop. He has the team at 6-3? He does? Or is the team 6-3 in spite of him because of our defense and run game? Come on man. He hands that ball off like an all pro. Cheers that D on like nobody’s business. Lol.
Can't run the ball until someone hands it to you. And who doesn't like being cheered for?? |

Nothing, but the backup is always the most popular QB in town Easy to call for a guy who’s realistically not going to play, you won’t be proven wrong! |

Well he did have that one game in Dallas where we won.... But that game wasn't exactly won because of his dominance.... I agree with you though, it seems this has been a theme since the days of Ramsey/Wuerffel. Whenever the starting qb isn't putting out, fans always seem to think the backup can at least do better. Also keep in mind even if Alex Smith stinks, A. he doesn't turn the ball over, and B. He has a 90 million dollar contract. He has to be given every opportunity to succeed before we give up on him (which we won't, because point A is a huge factor in winning games this year). |
Re: ALEX SMITH and moving forward.
To me it absolutely not about colt...it’s all about getting a young qb on the roster we can seriously develop...and not a late round pick
|
Re: ALEX SMITH and moving forward.
I think this is really the only way this team can win. Run the ball, no turnovers and play defense. If Colt came in I have no question he'd probably move the offense better. But with that would come more turnovers/ sacks . And there is no way this team is good enough to take that on. So even though watching Smith play QB hurts my fucking eyeballs to death, it is probably best for the 2018 Redskins. But for the love of God draft a damn QB next year. It has to be priority #1.

It’s time for us to put some points on the board,” Moses said, “and let the defense … not relax, but just take the game off their shoulders.” https://www.google.com/amp/www.espn.com/blog/washington-redskins/post/_/id/37625/a-look-at-the-redskins-path-to-an-nfc-east-title%3fplatform=amp Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
JMHO but I think you're taking what was said a little out of context . Players always say they need to improve or we need to get better . Sometimes a win is ugly but it's a win . |
Re: ALEX SMITH and moving forward.
All I know is that if I told you back in the pre-season we'd be 6-3 with a 2 game lead ahead of the Eagles everybody would have either A) Not believed me or B) been pumped and happy.
That's our reality. Enjoy it. Yes, we need to improve, so does every other team in the NFL. Nobody is ever "complete." I'm honestly loving the fact that I can trash talk my friends again after a couple years. When was the last time you could say, "You are what your record is" and have that be a positive for us? Even during RG3's magical year we were 3-6 at one point. We might make it into the playoffs and get bounced week 1, sure. But that's not gonna keep me from enjoying the winning it takes along the way to get there. |

Colt is 1-3 here averaging 148 yards per start. I don't get all the Alex hate. He didn't get to bring his KC weapons with him and the Redskin receiving core was below average even before the injury bug hit. As it currently stands the Redskin receiving core is in the bottom of the NFL. |
Re: ALEX SMITH and moving forward.
Guys Alex Smith is not gong anywhere for at least 2 more years. Colt Mccoy is a backup for a reason... If he was so good don't you think teams like Buffalo , Miami etc. would be calling? If Alex was costing us games then I would say maybe but he's been consistent, no turnovers and he scores in the RZ, (9 Tds - O Ints) . Its just because we are used to Kirk slinging it around the last 3 years.

ALEX SMITH and moving forward.
Ok, again. If you knew ahead of time that you’d be giving up a 3rd round pick, Fuller, and 90 million for Smiths garbage ass play would you still do it knowing you’d get the same or better performance from McCoy who (by the way) knows this offense better than anyone at this point.
The answer is clearly NO. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

"But Kirk did fine last yr" When in all reality Kirk had 20 turnovers damn near and as much as I liked the guy he padded most of those stats in late game situations. Yes he's the better passer but who is the better decision maker? |
