Sent from my SM-G781U using Tapatalk
Glad you're safe Cred. USCG is saying it's now a recovery mission for those 6 workers - my condolences go out to their families. Hard when you work a job where there's a risk of you not coming home at the end of the day. |

Re: R.I.P. thread
i think it is more a issue from a shipping perspective
i use to commute Catonsville to harco and if 95 was really bad i sneak up the key bridge i rarely recall every seeing key bridge bumper to bumper ; they are say 31,000 a day in this 2015 report ft mchnery sees 116,000; key bridge wasn't even in the top 4 https://www.roads.maryland.gov/OPPEN/Traffic_Volume_Trends16.pdf yes it will suck for folks that depend on it daily but the majority of MD/Bmore commuters do not use it if they can clear that rumble and create a shipping lane we can at least get the port back up and chugging |

Should only take a couple weeks to get the main lane reopened, then they can focus on clearing the rest of the debris and getting reconstruction started. |

There are a few ways of getting around ,Harbor Tunnel, Ft McHenry Tunnel, 695 Baltimore Beltway WEST and 50/301 through Annapolis and the Bay Bridge. The Port workers are going to take a big hit. Unemployment is gonna go through the roof. |

Dickey Betts , Allman Brothers Band
https://www.rollingst

one.com/music/music-news/dickey-betts-allman-brothers-band-dead-727523/ Dickey Betts, the singer, songwriter, and guitarist of the Allman Brothers Band whose piercing solos, beloved songs and hell-raising spirit defined the band and Southern rock in general, died Thursday morning at the age of 80. The cause was cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, Betts’ manager David Spero confirmed to Rolling Stone. “It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the Betts family announce the peaceful passing of Forrest Richard ‘Dickey’ Betts (December 12, 1943 – April 18, 2024) at the age of 80 years old,” Betts’ family announced in a statement to Rolling Stone. “The legendary performer, songwriter, bandleader, and family patriarch was at his home in Osprey, Florida, surrounded by his family. Dickey was larger-than-life, and his loss will be felt worldwide. At this difficult time, the family asks for prayers and respect for their privacy in the coming days. More information will be forthcoming at the appropriate time.” |
