Re: Offseason: Around the NFL
Jets let this word out to allow the market to come to them. Unless they are bowled over by a trade package they cannot refuse, Adams is not going anywhere.
Ownership has all the power. Adams can demand a trade all he wants. But if they do not agree on an extension, he gets tagged. He can play under that tag this season. If they do not agree to an extension entering next season. He gets tagged again. If he refuses to play under the tag, he loses a year of accrued seasons. Remember when Cousins was seeking a trade in Washington? Didn't he get tagged? Jets will let Adams trade happen when they get 2 first rounders for him. Dallas offered up a 1st and a 3rd rounder for Adams last summer. Jets balked. You got to wonder if the Jets are regretting that considering who fell to Dallas at 17 in this years draft with that first round pick they offered up.
He still has two years left on his rookie deal, so they effectively control his rights for four years. Don't even have to worry about tagging him til '22 |

I thought this was funny at first from the description, then I saw he was going 100, alcohol intoxication is presumed to be a factor, and he hit some innocent guy's truck. Hope the innocent guy wasn't in the truck at the time. Fuck Rosas.
I had already known that the other person was not hurt(badly) but it was never meant to be funny and it was Rosas covered in blood and he did it on an suspended licence . |

I've wondered why it has taken this long to get done. Makes complete sense. And has the added benefit of diverting the Kaepernick circus to some other franchise, which will have to endure said circus until it's obvious to all that Kaepernick ain't what he once was. Hell, his last two seasons in the league already showed the world that. |

I like it too. Makes the kinda-absurd-but-entertaining "Was it more TB or BB?" conversation more interesting :D Can trust Belichick to use Cam to his best potential. |

But he was clearly backup caliber and better than probably 80 percent of the backups in the league. You call it a circus i call it a fuckin crime. |
Re: Offseason: Around the NFL
Wow... I know Cam wasn't in the best negotiating position but "incentive-laden deal [...] up to 7.5M" seems like quite the bargain, doesn't it ?

Re: Offseason: Around the NFL
The Pats can say they like Stidham all they want but a healthy Cam is really intriguing there

It had to be a bargain. Pats available cap was small but cam has the ability to make up that money in a bigger deal if he can vibe with a winning established structure aRound him. Cam injury status is a mystery Too. It’s a win win |

Id say win-win-win. Pats add a vet Qb to an unknown QB situation Cam gets to prove he can stay healthy and produce for a big contract next year Fans get to see Cam and BB, just adds more interest and excitement I just want some football ... |

Yes he did, but that doesn't erase the fact that the league screwed him over. I mean the league has given sexual predators (Big Ben), child abusers (AP), and spouse abusers (Greg Hardy) second chances and these guys were accused of or committed crimes. |

I agree, but He did a lot of this to himself as well. Multiple times he had opportunities but he kinda pissed it away including last year. At the end of the day, coaches didn’t want to put up with a headache, back up quarterback. It wasn’t worth it. |
Re: Offseason: Around the NFL
Lol I see Adam Schefter and Richard Sherman going with the “Cam is a victim” narrative. Lol, these dumb mutherfuckers....

Re: Offseason: Around the NFL
IF Kap really wanted to play he would be on a roster .. he is way more focused on political activism than a QB ... he had work out last year and turned that into a circus ..
