Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
I guess it kind of depends on how they 2022 draft pick played during the 2022 season.
I mean Brcye Young and JD Stroud will almost certainly go one and two in the 2023 draft if they both announce they will be in the that draft. |
Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
That brings up an interesing point. Lets say we draft a 2022 QB in the top 10 but then do suck and can draft a true franchise ranked QB in 2023. What do we do? I think we'd draft the franchise QB and shop whoever we drafted in 2022 (Cards managed to get a 2d for Rosen).
This team is going nowhere without a QB. If they don't want to go the free agency route then they have to keep drafting QBs until they finally hit on one. |

Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Both Stroud and Young will be franchise QB's.

Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Huge wins by the Vikings and Browns for us.
Once Falcons finish losing, we will end up picking No. 11 overall. |
Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
11: R1 P11 - QB Sam Howell - UNC
42: R2 P10 - CB Andrew Booth Jr. - Clemson 73: R3 P9 - S Jalen Pitre - Baylor 110: R4 P8 - LB Brandon Smith - Penn State 189: R6 P10 - WR Charleston Rambo - Miami 228: R7 P9 - G Case Cook - Missouri |
Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Watching Bama and Georgia last night, I’d say two-third of both teams starters on offense and defense are NFL roster worthy.
Lotta talent |
Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
I'd sell something I own at a significant loss for this draft.
11: R1 P11 - S Kyle Hamilton - Notre Dame 42: R2 P10 - QB Desmond Ridder - Cincinnati 73: R3 P9 - WR David Bell - Purdue 110: R4 P8 - LB Brandon Smith - Penn State 189: R6 P10 - WR Romeo Doubs - Nevada 228: R7 P9 - G Alec Jackson - Auburn Any draft that involves Kyle Hamilton is a win in my book. We don't necessarily need 2 WRs but Doubs in the 6th, can't be passed up. I doubt he will get anywhere near there. But every year guys climb and guys fall. |

Yep, I'd gladly take him too. Baylor has a dude named Pitre that I'd like too. Penn State has Brisker as well. There are some great safety options, but not sure if we can wait past our 2nd round pick, to hit on one. A guy that can be a legit FS that can be trusted single-high, combined with Curl at SS, sounds beautiful. |
Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Malik Willis will be out of the league in 4 years....he's a great athlete but his little body can't sustain those hits in the nfl...he'll get broken up and possibly stay injured for at least half a season......plus there are questions about his ability to read nfl coverages.....
|
Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
I Agree. Malik Willis is a red herring in this draft.

Not saying you are wrong per se, but Doug Flutie was shorter and lighter. And Willis is listed as bigger than Murray and Tua (though granted Tua has been oft injured). |

He would be a waste of a 1st round pick. |
Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Most said Watson wouldn't last either with his small frame and knee issues and he's a top 10 QB.
We all said TH wouldn't make it a season.. Not saying Willis is great but he is by far the most gifted passer of the bunch, the ball literally jumps out of his hand |
