MAck has pulled out of the combine with an injured ankle, but an interesting thing I heard from mayock which I think you all should realize is that he falls on his back a lot, which can be a problem... What is your thoughts on maybe getting a max unger who can play any position on the oline, or eric wood who is not that different from mack... Also after watching the combine I think AQ Shipley is a decent looking center and he's a four year starter whose started since he was a freshman I believe

I know Jansen is the type of player who will not quit and we'll come back to prove everyone wrong, I have a gut feeling that he will. I'm putting on my flame suit as we speak.

Sfred you and I see Jansen the same way... he's a tough guy who plays w/ pride and it shows in his vicious run blocking. That said I really, really want him to move to the inside cuz that would mean we have a stud addition at RT. Basically i thought we could/should cut Kendell because he can't even practice w/ the offense during a season, so either JJ or Rinehart would [I]have[/I] to step up at LG. (My money would be on Jansen)

... on a side note Kendell, while the best of our interior lineman last year anyway, is also the smallest by just a few pounds. It will be nice to have either Jansen or Rinehart in there to add some mass. Rinehart is huge i so hope he can rise to the challenge soon.

:laughing2 Jansen is just one tough SOB which is why it's so hard for a coach to replace him.

Jason Brown is a restricted free agent, and I'm sure Baltimore is going to offer him a tender. He would be a good free agent, but it would cost us picks that we don't have unfortunately.

I'm pretty sure he's Unrestricted this year. He was RFA last year. He is looking for Alan Faneca money, although I wouldn't pay that.

Although if he isn't, then I say let's go after this guy. At least talk to him or something Couldn't we not sign Pete Kendall and sign this guy instead? Here's his report from Scouts, Inc.:

Jason Brown is an [B]unrestricted[/B] FA. If we can afford him great, but as Sammy said, for the right price. I would love to have him but if we can trade down and get Mack, I'd take him in a heartbeat.

Completely unrelated to the Redskins, I just found it surprising that the Colts would like Jeff Saturday test the market. He's been the anchor of the Colts' offensive line, and Manning's struggles this year (along with his injuries) were also due to Saturday being out of the line up.

Hey it looks like Ray Willis (Seahawks) is the best RT left in FA. Anybody know his history and how much it will likely cost to sign him? I notice he's very young at 27 too so this could be a longterm guy for us.

If we sign anyone from the Seahawks it should be Maurice Morris. A vastly underrated running back, this guy knows Z's offense and is a complete player. Averaged 5+yards per clip after Shaun Alexander left. Would be a great compliment to Portis and might come on the cheap.

Actually khalif barnes is a free agent so ray willis isn't the only UFA Tackle available... Also donald Penn the LT of the Bucs is a RFA, and was the only LT last year who didn't allow a demarcus ware sack... And jason brown would be a great huge pick up for us, for many reasons, simply because he can play guard or center, and if he is a center then we can cut rabach trade down in the draft, get Eben britton in the late first and get maybe a guard or DE in the second... If brown plays guard, the you let Kendall go cut Jansen and draft mack later in the first or stay where we are and draft an Oher

The Redskins love players that are recovering from injuries. We are in need of a cheap strongside linebacker. I think this sounds like a guy we will go after.

Hey bro how come you're not listing Jason Smith, who is rising faster than the national debt at this point?

... for what it's worth I think only Oher will be available @ 13 though the way Andre Smith is falling maybe he'll be there too. Both guys will work fine @ RT IMO but i couldn't really say who is better.
