I've been saying for a while that if Shanny likes Locker enough to want to even consider moving down for him, [B][U][I]draft him[/I][/U][/B].

This isn't like other drafts where players and future picks will be thrown around, not to mention that teams can't pick up a handful of undrafted FA's afterwards.

If you feel he's not good enough for 10th overall, then just pass.. Because remember, this guy was ranked #1 going into the season, so he has the pedigree.

*I can tell you right now that after going back and looking at a lot of games from both Gabbert and Locker, Locker is undeniably the more impressive player.

Now with all of that being said, please draft Julio Jones :headbange.

If they were going to trade back hoping to get the QB with their second pick (in this case pick 30) then it would certainly be nice to leave day 1 knowing we got our possible QB of the future. Weather that be Dalton or Ponder.

Ideally I would like to take Quinn at 10 and Dalton or Ponder (Dalton today) at 41, but I don't think that Dalton will last that long. Ponder on the other hand I feel will be available.

If they like Locker as much as last year then I would support Locker at 10 and Jurrell Casey (NT USC) at 41. Guy would have to add 10 or 20 pounds but he's capable of manning the nose and keeping blockers off our linebackers. In fact if it came down to it I would much rather have Casey then Taylor.

I also change my mind. Here's how I would draft for the Skins today. My goals for the draft are as follows. First identify a potential franchise QB that will bring stability to the games most important position. I also wanted to add a front 7 player (DE, OLB, or NT) to help with the switch to the 3-4.

In the later rounds I had a couple more objectives. First add at least one lineman to help feed the teams current pipeline that includes Cook, Kory L, and Capers.

I was also interested in adding a receiver that if worst comes to worst could possibly contribute on special teams. Finally I wanted hedge my bets at RB and add two late round picks that could compete to be the next hidden gem under Shanahan. Also was interested in adding a LB (Outside or Inside) to at least provide depth for a unit that will field 4 players on most down.

In all the picks I was interested in adding high character hard working guys that would buy in to the Skins Team First concept.

[B]10 (R1) Jake Locker - QB - Washington - [/B]I believe the Redskins O-Line will be significantly improved this year so long as they're able to resign Brown and get Davin Joesph as a Free Agent. That would give Locker something he never had in 4 years at Washington, a solid Offensive Line that can give him time in the pocket. With his physical skillset, work ethic, and tutelage under Shanahan the skies the limit. His ability to throw outside the pocket may be second to none (70% passer outside the tackles).

[B]41 (R2) Jurrell Casey - NT - USC -[/B] Short squaty nose tackle that may be under weight on draft day for a Nose Tackle (currently 300 pounds). Still plays the run very well, plays hard, and is a solid character guy. Also capable of getting a little bit of a push on the pass rush.

[B]144 (R5) Darvin Adams - WR - Auburn -[/B] [I]Auburn wide receivers coach Troop Taylor has said that Adams practices at game speed and needs to be slowed down when the team practices in shells. Hard worker that gained five pounds during the 2010 off-season. Has said that he wants to execute every play and help teammates get open when he doesn't get the ball.[/I]

[B]155 (R5) Stefen Wisniewski - C - Penn State - [/B]Hard working technician that can hopefully entice the team to replace Rabach.

[B]177 (R6) Evan Royster - RB - Penn State - [/B]Tough back with good to great vision (reports vary). Has a good reputation as a pass blocker. Rushed for a 1,000 yards each of the last 3 years.

[B]213 (R7) Jonas Mouton- OLB - Michigan [/B] High motor player. Former Captain. Decent coverage ability for an OLB. Lack of top end speed might keep him from turning the corner at the next level.

[B]224 (R7) Ryan Whalen - WR - Stanford - [/B]Good size and former walk on that went on to be one of the teams better receivers. Does a good job of fighting for jump balls. Not a deep threat. Likes to run block.

[B]253 (R7) Damien Berry - RB - Miami -[/B] Hard worker capable of playing special teams. Don't know to much about him as a runner, but I do know the skins have met with him in some capacity so maybe they see something.

Ryan Harris is probably the perfect contingency play for Brown. I think talent wise Brown is the better pick but Harris has an advantage when it comes to age. Both now know the system.

In my defense though I only missed one 7th round (213) pick unless ESPN.com is wrong.

I fixed it. Decided to hedge my bets on adding a decent sized receiver to, unlike a certain EVPOFO though I didn't do it at the top of the draft. Still was able to find a decent linebacker/Special team prospect. All players in my mock have a reputation as hard working/high motor players. Also hopefully avoided selecting a player 2 or 3 rounds after they're projected to be selected (*cough* Casey Matthews 5th Round *cough*).

Jacksonville and Locker? That's not a upgrade over Garrard. If it played out like this, I'd be thrilled.

I watch this NFL throwing session with Gabbert/Ponder with Steve Mariucci and Ponder looked much better than Gabbert throwing the ball coming from under the center.

Jacksonville is looking for someone to eventually succeed Garrard. Locker's probably a bit of a stretch for them to move up at 10 but why not?
