two franchises that were in the AFC championship game 2 years ago are now probably two of the most dysfunctional in the league...wow.
Scary isn't it?

Doesn't take long to fall from grace.

Na, what I'm saying is if he were to decide to get into coaching I'd imagine he might want to be working with his brother, ie; to help make him a better QB. Not that Eli is bad, just that I'd expect that if Payton were to change teams and become a coach he might want to be helping out his brothers team as opposed to an opponant to his brother (Skins).

The NFL is a hard business on fans not just players.. Think about it for a min. How long has it been since the Skins were a true playoff contender? 20 years. **** I'm only 25 and I've been a life long fan so losing is all I know, thats pretty damn hard to take. GB went what 30 years between the first 2 SB's and Favre's? That's a damn lifetime for some.

Mel Kiper just reported Skins aren't interested in Matt Flynn, but would prefer Peyton Manning. Also that either Cleveland or the Skins could trade up to get RG3.

I'd rather have Flynn or Foles or Tannehill than a non healthy Manning.

A non-healthy Manning means he's not coming back.

Right, and I'm saying I doubt he would want to go to NY and overshadow or take anything away from Eli.

NY is Eli's town and I think PM knows that.

It's not like Eli needs much coaching up at this point anyway.

Come on, you would rather have John Beck than a "non healthy Manning". If Peyton Manning is too injured to play, even John Beck is a better option.

ANY discussion of Peyton Manning's use or value to the Redskins must assume that - - on the first snap of the 2012 season - - he is fully healthy and ready to play. Once the season starts, he like EVERY other QB on EVERY roster in the league is open to injury.

I have not seen Peyton Manning's X-Rays - - and even if they were delivered to me in the next five minutes, I would be unable to look at them and make a decision as to his likely ability to play NFL football next September. Just a hunch here, but I doubt that anyone else posting here has seen those X-Rays either.

Obviously, if Peyton Manning cannot play he is of no value to any team in the NFL as a QB. So, IF the Redskins find a means to acquire him in the next few months, there are only two conclusions you can draw:
1. The Redskins have retained the services of an orthopedic doctor in whom they have complete confidence who has reviewed Manning's medical history and examined Manning thoroughly and that doctor has told the Redskins that in his professional opinion, Peyton Manning is physically prepared to play NFL football.

2. The Redskins are rolling the dice and hoping they do not come up snake-eyes.
I'd rather have a non-healthy Manning then John Beck. Would get the same production and I would have an open roster spot for someone else.

A non healthy Manning is still better than jb,
