Re: Yet Another QB Rumors Thread (Volume 9)
What if the 'skins sign RGIII and he gets hurt in preseason?
Then were screwed but so are 31 other teams if their starter gets hurt in preseason. |
Re: Yet Another QB Rumors Thread (Volume 9)
Sorry I meant Manning and one of these guys...and then next year (ode to Dirtbag) we get a Barkley, Jones, Wilson, etc?
I think were about out of "next years" to push this QB issue off to. This will be the 3rd straight year we did that. And if Manning actually gives us a decent season we will have no shot at Barkley. We think trading up from #6 is expensive...when we are picking in the teens or 20's it will be impossible. It's not Shanny/Allens fault since they more or less just got here, but i have been a Redskins fan for 35+ years and they have not had a franchise QB for about 30 of them. I am done with it. Manning being an all-timer clouds the water...but I always get back to thinking that this horrible QB cycle needs to end and it needs to end for longer then 2 or 3 years. |
Maybe the best argument I've heard to trade up for RG3 is that: if we don't the Eagles might.
or the Cowboys...but you didn't hear that from me (you heard it from Matty, are we clear?) |

Clear as day. Smootsmack told me that the Cowboys are trading up for RGIII and the Redskins are signing Julius Pepers. |
It seems your more enamored with this whole combine talk than those that want us to trade up for him lol. His awesome showing comes from him dispelling any doubts about his physical ability and build. Along with a commanding presence when talking to the media.
Yep thats it. Thanks for pointing it out to me. |

All I'm saying is that the hype RGIII is getting doesnt simply stem from a strong showing at the combine. It's deserved. |
Hard to disagree that Tannehill isn't worth the sixth pick if you can watch one practice and tell he's not ready to play.
Someone's going to be the third best quarterback in this draft though. If it's not Tannehill that's worth the sixth pick, it will be someone else.
would you rather take the best corner, wide reciever or tackle in the draft or the 3rd best QB in the draft at 6th? My opinion of how close the QB are 1. Luck..............2.RG3...............................................................................................................................................................................................3.Tannehill. |

Floyd?) is better than the 3rd best QB The best T (Kalil) won't be available at 6th. Unless you're saying the Redskins sign Manning and trade up to 2. Then shock the world by drafting Matt Kalil |
Re: Yet Another QB Rumors Thread (Volume 9)
I'm with SmootSmack on this. Corner isn't the need those offensive positions are, but Claiborne is a better player than everyone in the draft except Luck and Richardson.

Dallas loves romo they aren't moving him

Some are saying the price will be at least 2 first a 3rd and a 5? Wow idk about all that , this team needs more than one player, I'd rather sign Manning and draft a qb like tannehill

Maybe that's a poll question? Would you rather A) Sign Peyton Manning (Without full assurance he's healthy) B) Trade multiple picks including two 1sts for RG3 |
