Re: Expectations for the rest of the season...
He couldn't rate anyone else on Offense because RG3 was so bad, and he basically destroyed RG3. On one play, he said a high school coach would be pissed at what RG3 did. Does it get worse than that? He's making mistakes that wouldn't be tolerated for a High school QB? Dayum!
It's all the OL's fault |
Re: Expectations for the rest of the season...
I've always felt the O line was bad but its looking like RG3 is worse. Its easy to point fingers at both of them cuz they're both just awful.
SS, I'm assuming the Skins are looking at drafting a QB in the off-season? |

Re: Expectations for the rest of the season...
Gruden and that Chucky offense is out dated anyway.

Re: Expectations for the rest of the season...
^^^ lol righhhhhhttttt.
The offensive scheme is fine, when properly executed. You know, like hitting open WR's in the flat in the red zone rather than taking a sack, or hitting D.Jax when he is running free behind the defense, or hitting Garcon wide open in the middle of the D when the play design uses D.Jax to drag the safeties downfield and A. Morris to drag the LB's upfield. Gruden's offense is actually very well-designed by scheming for the opposing teams particular defensive tendencies, incorporating the particular abilities of various skill players into the play design, and anticipating how defenses will react to them. The yards are there for the taking, but between Griffin and the O-Line, a lot of them get left on the field. |
Re: Expectations for the rest of the season...
Haslett was Gruden's mentor. If anything, I'm sure Gruden had a lot of say in this.
I know everyone is pissed, but I have yet to see anything credible that says that Snyder has mettle in the affairs of the team since Shanny/Allen came on board. The whole F Snyder stuff is getting old IMO.
Nodding in public. Snyder gets my respect for being so patient with Bruce Allen, and with Shanahan, and now with Gruden. When's the last time you heard about Snyder talking shit, about anyone? He's a lot more patient than I would be. Maybe too patient, like the pendulum swung too far back. |

So even if Griff looks God awful for these last games, and we decide we dont want to pay him? 18 mill is alot of money. I keep hearing everyone say we are stuck with him for one more year. If we decide to extend him - we must do so by may of 15 - so we would basically be committing to two more years rite? Edit : i know 2015 is his last year of the four yr deal but they have to decide to exercise his option for 16 before the 15 season even starts. |
I honestly never heard anyone legit come out and say he's not putting in the work. In fact I've only heard the opposite.
I know everyone wants to keep saying he's in year 3 and he should be getting it by now. Yeah he's in year 3, but he's only started 3 games this year.
Great point! |
Re: Expectations for the rest of the season...
I was at the Oakland game last year and that's when I really saw just how bad RG3 was playing. Our wr's were wide open and he just didn't throw them the ball. They didn't cover Santana all day. Some of the wr's were getting frustrated, you could see it. Here we are 13 or so starts later and it's the same things. IMO he just doesn't have it.
This week I just want him to cut it loose. Don't care if he throws a few picks. No more happy feet. Don't try and scramble around, keep your eyes downfield, set your feet, climb the pocket and sling it. That's all I want to see. QB 101. |

Our offensive line is terrible, but a lot of that can be offset if RGIII can learn the timing of the offense and so forth. Colt McCoy played pretty well behind this line (of course not minus Williams), so part of it is the quarterback, and part is the offensive line. But in this case, I think the Redskins full focus is still on rebuilding the offensive line. Maybe by that point, you have RGIII grasping the fundamentals a little better. Who knows? |

That would certainly be ideal. If there is a QB coming out that seems like a solid pick and he is there when we go. That is going to be a tough decision. Although i do agree that we should bolster the hell out if the oline first so that our next man up doesnt get murdered. |

It wouldn't be a Redskins season unless had more drama than wins. |
