Gruden and Griffin need to part ways. Gruden obviously doesn't believe in him, Griffin could probably use a change of scenery. If both are back, Griffin will have to compete for not only the job, but maybe even a roster spot.
It wont matter Gruden suks if we get rid of RG3 then who will he blame. RG3 is not playing now and his coaching skills look suspect.

Re: RG3 and Gruden?

It's easier to find solid HC these days than a solid QB. I can't think of a single QB available in FA/draft who will be an upgrade over RG. He did great today with the bootlegs and rolls outs. The passing game stalled when Gruden called pocket plays. That's also when the oline broke down.

But if a guy like Harbaugh, Bowles, someone even mentioned double G. You take any of those guys over Gruden when the clock strikes midnight.

How about when he had 37 open wr's running around that the entire effin world saw except for him? Thats not normal. Thats not something that "every" qb does. That is amateur hour at the effin apollo.

Re: RG3 and Gruden?

He had 300+ all purpose yards and looked pretty good in the roll outs and bootlegs. And did it without DJax basically.

All QBs make some bad plays man. Romo had some doozies tonight. RG has a long way to go but he's the best QB on the roster today, higher future potential and a better option than what's available.

You can accuse RG of many things but being afraid of being hit ain't one.

If only this could turn out like Parcells\Simms. Or better yet...Noll\Bradshaw.

I didnt get to see the game and the highlights are the same 2 plays. How did RG3 look? Were the sacks his fault? Did he lock on 1 receiver? Throw any passes over 15 yards downfield in the air?
You can accuse RG of many things but being afraid of being hit ain't one.
At least twice yesterday RG3 took a short drop, looked once, then dropped his head and started dancing in place before the rush got to him.

We call it "happy feet" when a QB does that, and yes it's when the QB is scared of getting hit.

Best he's looked since Minnesota. Still inconsistent though. A couple of the sacks were on him, but when Trent went out the line fell apart and gave up 3 sacks that I don't think you can pin on him.

That's actually more that a QB doesn't trust his eyes and is looking at the rush not downfield. QB's being scared of being hit don't run into danger as often as RG3 does. He's more reckless than scared. It's very difficult to be both.

Re: RG3 and Gruden?

RG3 was far from perfect, but he played with desire yesterday, we saw glimpses of the old 2012 RG3 out there, especially on that should have been a touchdown run at the end of the 1st half.

I think the end result was more bad coaching by Gruden than the players (although our O-line still has massive problems)

He has largely played with confidence and..........bravado. One of the traits I admire in him.

Re: RG3 and Gruden?

Giving up on RG now would be incredibly stupid. He needs to be coached up and given better protection.

I'm almost thinking we should draft offensive tackle with first pick. How long since we had bookend tackles? Samuels and Jansen. I remember those days fondly.
