FOWLER will be the pick at #5 unless they trade back.

I would rather risk that he becomes someone else's Randy Moss than risk him becoming our Justin Blackmon. Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk |
Has anyone heard of private workouts, visits to the park, etc. of any of the draft picks?
Maybe everybody else already knows about this, but I just discovered it... a list of interviews, private workouts, etc. for each team, last updated today. Normally not a big fan of Walter, but everybody has their uses I guess. :D Those listed under Washington: Jamon Brown, OT, Louisville (EW) Justin Coleman, CB, Tennessee (EW) Stefon Diggs, WR, Maryland (COM) Derrick Lott, DT, Chattanooga (EW) Bobby McCain, CB, Memphis (EW) Rakeem Nunez-Roches, DT, Southern Mississippi (PRO) Damian Parms, SS, Florida Atlantic (EW) Marcus Peters, CB, Washington (COM) Ryan Russell, DE, Purdue (EW) Jake Ryan, OLB/ILB, Michigan (EW) Brandon Scherff, OT/G, Iowa (COM) AJ Tarpley, ILB, Stanford (PRO) Jordan Taylor, WR, Rice (EW) Darren Waller, WR, Georgia Tech (EW) Zach Zenner, FB/RB, South Dakota State (EW) |

Yeah but those aren't the private workouts and park visits. I'm not sure anyone knows those yet

You were right, but I went and looked again and apparently he just updated the Redskins' list. :joecool:

Re: 2015 Draft Prospects... First Edition
Hmm. I'd heard about the Texans, but not the Redskins working him out

That's what I was thinking looking at the list. Haven't these usually started by now? |

well you know what they say... |
Re: 2015 Draft Prospects... First Edition
If Leonard Williams, Dante Fowler, or Vic Beasley are available at # 5 I want one of them. If not, I'd like to trade down, pick up an extra pick, and draft one of the tackles that have mid-late 1st round grades.
Have you ever heard of Fred Davis and Tanard Jackson? The problem is that Gregory could turn out to be worthless to the Skins due to drug suspensions. There is no way I would take that risk in the first round.
Have you ever heard of Warren Sapp? He failed his drug test coming out of college. |
Re: 2015 Draft Prospects... First Edition
As a Redskins fan I would not take Gregory at #5 even if he didn't fail the drug test. I would rather take Shane Ray who has speed and a high motor off the edge or Dante Fowler. I'm not to sure on Vic Beasley because he did well at the combine he moved up in the draft. The combine is nice to watch but watching film is what I would base my decision on who we draft. The film don't lye. I would not pick Gregory in the 1st rd.

Gregory ain't no Warren Sapp. I would have taken Sapp in the first round of the draft even though he tested positive. That's because of his extraordinary talent, of course. He was worth the risk then and he went on to prove it. In the case of Gregory, why take the risk on him in the first round when there are other edge rushers who might be just as good or even better than he is? If the Skins want to take Gregory in a lower round, I'm OK with that. |
