Oh, yes I did....since I'm a huge Colt McCoy enthusiast who feels he should have started the season as quarterback, and felt he would have done better at the quarterback position up until this point, I damn well did....
Who expected better this year? AND it is largely been served with half of his starting cast watching from the sidelines. Yet, he shows definite positive signs and signs of evolution. If he continues...who knows. KC may indeed prove to be something other than a starter in this league, but it is far more prudent to let the basis of that decision be.....Proven rather than speculated on.
Cousins is the same awful quarterback we saw the final three games of the 2013 season after Mike Shanahan shut RG3 down...seems like he should have made strides with his consistency by now.....

I just meant as far as using pff as a source. However I respectfully disagree with ur take on colt vs KC. Are you not the least bit hopeful after the last two weeks - especially a game in foxboro where if not for the drops he woulda had a real good game - that KC has turned a corner?

How easy do you think it is as a second year qb with one start under ur belt to come off the bench and look good on a shit team like the 2013 Redskins?
He has made some real strides this year and was missing his number one wr, and his go to guy Reed for a while. He has zero run game behind him.

So for discussion sake, barring any injuries is Cousins the better QB in any of our upcoming games?
Saints - Brees
Panthers - Newton
Giants - Manning
Cowboys - Romo
Bears - Cutler
Bills - Taylor
Eagles - Bradford
Cowboys - Romo

I'd say somewhere between just a guy and the Matt Ryan range. Superstar? That might be pushing it a bit.

We just need to let it play out. Either let the legend grow, or back to the draft/ drawing board. Not sure about the rest of you, but I'm really rooting for this to work out. I seriously don't have the patience to start over with a rookie. Or bring in a journeymen while a rookie sits and watches... a la Cleveland.
He has 10 TDs, 9 INTs, 1,954 yards passing, a 66.% completion score....and a 82.9 QB RATING.....

These are average numbers at best... at the rate he's going he will end up having 20 TDs and possibly 19 or 20 INTs and 3500 yards....this is on par with the playing ability of a second string quarterback...Cousins is simply not starting material....a quarterback like this will undoubtedly and greatly contribute to a NFL team's 5-11, 6-10, or 7-9 record....
Those numbers are pretty close to Joe Theismann's numbers his first year starting under Joe Gibbs.

I think he is just as good as Bradford, Taylor and Cutler. I think Bradford could be more effective in our system as opposed to chips' craptacular circus.

Re: Who is Kirk Cousins?

agree on Taylor and Bradford and he's definitely not the.....asshole......bitchchild cutler is.
Does that count?

I would say that I would take Cousins over Bradford, maybe Taylor and Romo, but the with Romo it is because I am unsure of the caliber he will be when he comes back. Taylor I will confess ignorance with, he certainly is better in the right statistics.

The short answer that sums up the entire situation is we can't plan on hitting the gas station scratcher and getting a HOF QB to win.

It really doesn't matter then who Kirk is.

Like the Pats and Seattle, whether you have a star or not, smart teams are always trying to find talented QBs.

The idea that once you have "the guy" the QB search stops is a myth.

From a draft, FA standpoint, we should always be looking for an upgrade at every position. In that context, it doesn't matter what Kirk is, we still need to be looking for an upgrade. It's just the nature of the league.

I do think Kirk is going to be a serviceable NFL QB.

At the beginning of the year everyone thought we were set at RB, including myself. We need to always be looking to upgrade.
