Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
The Athletic has us taking Pickett at No. 11 as the first QB off the board. It also predicts Corral to the Saints as NO. 18 and Howell going at No. 20 to Pittsburgh. They have us taking Darian Kinnard, an offensive line man from Kentucky, in the second round.

Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
I would trade for Jimmy G. if the price is right, I would not give more than a 2nd rounder for him.

Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
Athletic has Hamilton going at No. 5 to the Giants.

We all do. That's the key to the WFT drafting a franchise QB. |

I like Jordan Reid (the scout) and what he has to say.

Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
John Keim drops a few nuggets if you listen:
"I believe they'll have their quarterback before the draft" "It's possible that they sign a veteran FA and combine that with one of these QBs in the second round, because they have a few people they like there." |
Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
I wouldn't oppose to that move as that approach will help us preserve our draft picks.. I'm curious to see which QB they are targeting though since I don't see any QB in free agency that would be ideal for us to pursue.

Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
I can live with a FA vet and a 2nd or lower pick on QB; if the rookie washes out, try again next year. But I'd rather, assuming we can get a 1-2 year starter in FA, they draft for need elsewhere this year then go all out for a top prospect next year. As others have said, just keep drafting QB's until you get it right.

Re: The Too Soon 2022 NFL Draft Thread
I would be happy with the idea of trading down this year ( assuming we can find a partner) to the bottom third of the first round in exchange for a first next year like the Giants did last year. We can then grab one of this years QBs and still have good ammunition next year if required.

Don't disagree in principle, but with the talent pool this year it seems there are no potential superstars, at least not at QB (most teams reason to trade up). I can't see many big trades, though I live to be surprised. |

Sounds like Trubisky could be the one with the Carolina/Buffalo connection
