Reaching back again today and listening to the album "Facelift" by Alice in Chains. Basically a stripped-down, no frills hard rock album with some metal riffs and a touch of psychedelic styles.

pretty awesome

This Pink Floyd band? I think they are gonna catch on

One of my favorites, one of their most overlooked songs...

I grew up in the suburbs of NY and listen to WNEW when FM radio was first forming and was lucky enough to list to a DJ named Alison Steele the Night Byrd. She played this all the time!

The entire event was great, very well organized and all the acts and presenters rocked it. I would definitely recommend attending one some day if you can. It's a long night though, over 5 hours so that's my only minor complaint.

Amazon Music with Prime. nice library that is always updating...I purchased some new music every now and then but prime music has become so vast.

Listening to The Brian Jonestown Massacre now...such an underrated band. Anybody who like modern psychedelic...then band has to be in the library.

Just watched it on HBO this afternoon,it was pretty damn good.I personally could have done without Tupac tribute but Snoop Dogg was pretty good.I never realised Letterman was so tight with Eddie Vedder.

Always loved the Badmotorfinger album...Pretty Noose probably my favorite Soundgarden song.

Just ashame...when you look around at the "Big 4" who defined the Seattle scene which lead to the largest shift in music culture since the British invasion....Only Vedder remains

Hearing reports that it was a possible suicide. *sigh*
Wasn't a HUGE grunge fan back in the day, but Soundgarden was one of the bands from that era that I really liked.

Now, no more Nirvana, no more Soundgarden, no more Stone Temple Pilots. Like you said, only Pearl Jam remains. Not a fan of getting tribute band singers though.

From Seattle...while I respect STP, they often felt like imitators
