really? Lagunitas IPA is straight banging imo.
Yup yup, love me some lagunitas. Recently been gluten free tho, because of a new diet I'm doin with the wife. Really sucks not having my craft brews. Been tryin to find a good gluten free beer, not much luck as of yet. Anyone have any suggestions? Pretty much sticking to the hard ciders right now. Some of those are friggin delicious. |

you know UFO Pumpkin wasnt bad. i say go for it. Harpoon never been a bad beer imo. They were one of the old skool beers in the mid-late 90s when i started drinking "good" beers. Cut my teeth with them |

re: Let's talk
Did anyone else watch the show Brew Dogs on the new Esquire Network this week? It reminds me of the old Discovery Channel show about the Dogfishhead Brewery mixed with a travel show.
The first episode was all about San Diego and west coast IPAs. It inspired me to do a little personal taste test. Ballast Point has the early lead... |

A beer hotspot in town serves the Sculpin as a draft which is suburb. Amazing taste, outstanding beer. The Green Flash?(I think thats what its called) is very tasty as well. That is pretty expensive round here and comes in 4 packs I believe. I pick it up every now and then, but I like Racer 5, Laganitas IPA, or Stone's hoppy beers are better Cali choices imo. Still not bad though... |

My brother-in-law is an IPA fiend and I think Laganitas is his favorite brew. In the end, I think I actually like the Green Flash West Coast IPA a little more, but the Sculpin was pretty great. The next episode of Brew Dogs is about San Fransisco, so I'm sure that will inspire me to grab some Anchor Steam next weekend. |
re: Let's talk
i caught a ton of sculpin off this jetty in san diego. 2 at a time. they are relatively small fish but come with pointy needle like things all over them (kinda like a croaker only 3x as many).
long story short, i didnt know they were poinsonious and after dehooking 20+ i found myself far out on the jetty getting real dizzy. the store close to me does a make you own 6 pack so i have been trying a bunch of micros i ve never heard of. nothing really tasty thoo although i feel like ive been stuck on strict diet of hoppy ipas for to long now. sweetwater brewery out of georgia saint arnold oktoberfest full sail brown out of oregon abita jockamoo (i like) a bunch more ive forgotten by now |

havent seen it yet, been looking, i dont drink alot of sierra nevada anymore but i did drink a torpedo (supposed to be stupid hoppy) and it was okay .. to be honest, i just want to drink flying dog's snake head and raging bitch till the sun comes up. i compare all other beers to those 2 and always come away disappointed. |
re: Let's talk
