Re: Around the NFL - Offseason thread
From Schefter:
49ers will use the tag on Safety Dashon Goldson and the Cardinals will use the tag on Calais Campbell. He's also saying that the Chiefs will likely tag Bowe (which I think a lot of people figured this would happen).
Who knows if he was telling the truth, but Moss said last week that he's in good financial shape
Well if he's willing to sign a deal that has no guaranteed money, then it must be true. Well doesn't sound like Brandon Carr's coming here;
Even more sad, it sounds like he's going to Dallas.. Tony Pauline @TonyPauline Teams in Indianapolis fully Brandon Carr will end up a member of the Dallas Cowboys via free agency.. |

Re: Around the NFL - Offseason thread
so bowe's gone and wallace is a non-starter (he'd cost a pick)... no confirms on grubbs, grimes, or the other WRs yet though (VJ, DJ, etc, and i'd take a flyer on the other moss too).
If we get into a bidding war with someone else, idw him. "Test the market" sounds like "wants top dollar" to me.
For one thing, he is a human being. Of course he wants the most money for his work. That does not make him greedy. It makes him stupid to sign a contract for a team that went 2-14 the previous season for a lowball amount because of some misplaced sense of loyalty to a team that isnt even being "loyal" to the qb that turned the franchise from a cellar dwellar into a contender for the super bowl each and every year. In short, just cause he wants to see if he can get more money or get into a different situation doesn't make him greedy. |
Re: Around the NFL - Offseason thread
I would take a look at Castillo if he's released, I've always liked him, a high motor type player.
