It wouldn't totally shock me if Moss, Banks, Austin, and Armstrong were all gone
And Gaffney will change his number. I thought Austin was going to be a good one. Sigh. |

I thought Austin was going to be a good one. Sigh.
I agree. I really thought with our weak WR corps last year that he would step up, earn some pt, and maybe even get to be our #3. It wasn't that he didn't impress in games, he just never saw a lot of pt in games, and I'm assuming that's because coaches were unimpressed in practice. But either way, we didn't spend a 2nd rounder pick on him like we have on a couple other receivers, so it's no biggie that he didn't pan out. On to the next one. |
Re: Redskins: 2012 Off-Season-Free Agency/Trades
Moss: Has a chance to stay bc he's admired by teammates, coaches, staff but his role is diminishing
Banks: Barely holding onto a spot Armstrong: I'm biased against him but he works hard. Will struggle to make the final roster though Austin: Love him, but he's struggled and is another longshot |
Re: Redskins: 2012 Off-Season-Free Agency/Trades
Any chance we kinda sneak up and steal Laurent Robinson from the Cowboys? I'm not sure if he's restricted or unrestricted but I wouldn't mind bringing him in for a look.

I have a hypothesis as to why the Cowboys are so fawned over every time someone dons their uniform: It is the color scheme of their uniform and helmet that is appealing to the human eye. |

Certainly possible. I know there have been rumors if him and Manningham Names I've most often heard in order are Royal, Jackson, Garçon, Colston, and recently Douglas |
Re: Redskins: 2012 Off-Season-Free Agency/Trades
Is like to see what some of our guys can do with a better qb

Names I've most often heard in order are Royal, Jackson, Garçon, Colston, and recently Douglas
Well, since you were so epically wrong on a trade for the second pick & the level of interest in RGIII, I'm not sure I can trust anything you say anymore. I am soooo confused. What happened SS? I ... I ... I used to rely on you, now [SMH], I just can't. I just can't. The world has stopped making sense. |
Re: Redskins: 2012 Off-Season-Free Agency/Trades
I hope not Finnegan, he's an idiot, rather have Terrell Thomas.
Terrell Thomas has a knee injury so I'm a little skeptical, but yes, he is a great CB when healthy. Finnegan, like him or hate him, is a great CB, he's just not liked because he picks fights with other teams WR's. He is a pro bowler for a reason. Carr though is my first choice, but I'm worried that the Cowgirls are getting him and LaRon. |
Re: Redskins: 2012 Off-Season-Free Agency/Trades
I posted earlier that the redskins need to throw money at Vincent Jackson and acquire him. This isn't as Cerrato-like as most would think. My reasoning behind this is - Jackson is by far the best free agent wr. And the redskins need to be aggressive with at least one free agent at a position of need for the next 3 seasons because this would more than make up the price of attaining RGIII.
Vincent Jackson would be acquired in place of the traded 2012 2nd round pick. Also this would give RGIII an athletic playmaker to throw to. |

Re: Redskins: 2012 Off-Season-Free Agency/Trades
... then all other possible free agents this offseason should only be acquired with a decent contract.

Re: Redskins: 2012 Off-Season-Free Agency/Trades
SS, have you heard of any rumors on who might replace Landry in the likely event that he doesn't get re-signed?
