Re: Let's impeach the president.
and jsarno, i appreciate the civilized discussion. i had a guy at work that shared your beliefs, and we used to talk all the time. but he switched crews, and i hardly ever talk to him anymore
Right back at you! While we are obviously on way different sides of the fence, I appreciate you not making this a name calling discussion and telling me I am stupid, and I am sure visa versa. I have a buddy that is a staunch dem. and a huge yankees fan...how we became friends is beyond me since I hate the Yankees and I about as far from being a dem as humanly possible. We would have 2 hour long discussions easy, and when we were done we would sit there like we just ran a marathon. Mentally exhausting. It's a lot of fun though. For as much as we want to complain about the other persons views, we both know that not much can or will be done about it. |
I hear that SBF. Sort of pathetic how some people just like to complain about everything with this country. Yet forget that at least this country gives them the freedom to complain.
But whatever, the season is almost upon us and those who are here just to spout their political obsessions will either start talking football or just leave.
Our country hasn't given anyone the freedom to do anything. The Constitution is a recognition that all men have natural rights that can not be denied by a government (remember life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness). Our forefathers have fought and died for this principle. Why mess it up now. There's no gift involved. When our government begins to think that it is the grantor or denier of freedom, there's a remedy-- impeachment. |
Yes, Impeach the president and then the rest of the world will like us and leave us alone..............???????????????
I got an idea we can put a sissy in office so that we can get run over by the world while we actually think that we are winning the hearts and minds of the likes of the Taliban and other terrorist groups. Let your local Government decide what age you can get married and drink and leave Global Affairs to the President.
Leaving global affairs to a moron is probably not a good idea. Bush is probably the most sissified President in U.S. history. He freezes in crises, he went AWOL when Vietnam was on the agenda, he travels with literally thousands of body guards and advance men, and has typically spoken only to friendly crowds. He is also now about half nuts with failure to tolerate stress. He whines in the White House, hides in locked rooms, goes hysterical with rages, can't stay at his desk, vacations about one out of three days, works short hours, fails to discipline his children or stand up to Chaney, and recently yelled at his wife using the C word. |

Hahaha, that was pretty funny. Made this idiotic thread worthwhile for a second |

There only one aspect of this thread that is idiotic. |
Re: Let's impeach the president.
the best economic decade was definitely in the 90's, when Clinton was in power. i love how you say wasted money was given back to the people. do you realize this administration has the biggest national deficit of all time? the budget was balanced, and there was surplus money, when a democrat left office. thats why i don't understand how people believe the Dem's are the free spending party. Bush has spent more on this war alone. he seems willing to give money to any foreign country that asks. the spending in Washington is way out of control.
There's no question the best decade, at least in my lifetime, was during the '90s, under Clinton's presidency. The "Tech Boom", as we know it, reached epic proportions during his administration. Yes, Reagan did have a successful reign, but some will argue, vehemently, I might add, that under his presidency he further widened the gap between the haves and the have nots. The cutting and slashing of many social programs crippled many Americans. Not everyone was impressed with Clinton's presidency, but the ecomonic success that was achieved is undeniable. To some extent the same can be said of the Reagan era, but I think it tends to get more credit than it deserves. |

Please give us a link to thes facts that you have made up. |
Re: Let's impeach the president.
and whomever takes the presidency next will have one hell of a financial mess to try and fix. taxes seem like the answer. for some reason govt keeps growing while old W. resides in power. probably trying to satisfy all his friends. i still remember how bill Clinton tried to establish the office of homeland security, only to be laughed at by a republican congress. saying there wasn't a need. who is the joke on now?
Please give us a link or anything that shows that Clinton tried to form a homeland security. I'm not saying he didn't but this is the first I have ever heard of this and I think with all of the talk over the years about who did what before 9/11 I would have heard something about this. |
Re: Let's impeach the president.
I read once that whenever Presidents go to Camp David or their vacation homes (Martha's Vineyard for Clinton, Crawford and Kennebunkport for Bush as examples) those are classified as "vacation days"
Which is a bit misleading, because they still conduct business such as Bush meeting with Putin in Kennebunkport |
Re: Let's impeach the president.
Regardless of your party affiliation, the President's don't take VTO like we are accustomed to. I would be stunned if they get "a day" without moment by moment BS.
That's why they come out of office looking about 30 years older! |
