what makes no sense is the front office knows williams is on thin ice. so to have his back up be someone that's 33 and was out of football last year is ridiculous.
We will get RG3 severly injured if our Tackles continue to play this bad. The planning at the Tackle position is the basically just crossing your finger. Where is everyone who said RG3 will make the O-line look better? |

Since we're being superstitious, Redskins woes will only subside when they change its name. Peace.

No doubt and get the ball turned over. Not smart at all. If they want to be tricky do something other than the option. Just not worth gaining 14 yards and getting your QB knocked out. Just block and give the ball to Alfred. Not too hard. |

Well the curse part about snyder was a joke. It is the poor decision making for 15 (of the longest) years that i was referring to. Lol. We had the same name when we were winning superbowls and championships so unless the native american gods changed their mind im not buying that. And i have native american blood in me. My great great great grandfather on my moms side was a chief. He told me one time when i was smoking a peace pipe that our nickname was at the very bottom of the list of wrongs committed against his people by our country. I am completely serious about my bloodline btw. Atleast we represent the native american in a fierce and proud way unlike the cartoon character used by the cleveland "indians". Braves on the warpath FIGHT for old dc. |
Rogers wanted out right?? I mean what did they want the skins to do? Offer an avg CB. 80 million dollars?
He wanted out because we wouldn't pay him 80 billion dollars for 5 years. We've built a rep in the league for paying players and when we don't pony up to our pending FAs they get their panties in a twist about it. SS bluntly said Los got laughed at around the whole league but it was the Skins he was mad at. Funny. |

Re: Redskins vs. Bengals Post Game Reaction
The real problem is that we're not good enough at the offensive tackle position to let Griffin get through his progressions, so the option game becomes a great way to bring the attack to the defense as opposed to letting them come attack. Griffin's taking a beating either way, but it's like playing against Oregon: one wrong move or missed assignment by the defense and we're gone for 80 yards. Speed kills.
Griffins been blasted almost every time he's completed a pass over ten yards this year. He's awesome: the throw is seemingly unaffected, but the only thing we can do to protect him is hand off conventionally, and with Morris back there that just won't be all that effective. This option run game is really all the Redskins have right now on the ground.
Very valid point. I can't argue with that notion at all. Just cringe every time I see him run that damn option play. |
Re: Redskins vs. Bengals Post Game Reaction
It's becoming harder for me to criticize folks like Kyle and John Harbaugh who melt down. The officiating is awful. Coaches and players have millions of dollars on the line and they have mouths at home to feed, yet striped jokers keep f'ing everything up. If I am frustrated from my couch, I can only imagine what it feels like on the sideline.
It's time to settle with the real refs. The real refs have made their point.
What will piss you off even more is how little money we are talking about. If anybody read that letter I posted in the Ref thread, it looks like they are haggling over $60,000 (per team). Sixty thousand dollars to a owner is chump change. Really it is. Dan Snyder wipes his ass with as much every time he takes a dump. They'd rather the game be ran into the ground than pony up a penny. I say just do away with owners, and make all the teams public like the Packers. https://m.nflplayers.com/articles.aspx?cat=Public-News&title=Letter-from-Executive-Committee-to-Owners-on-Ref-Lockout
It is lost on us as to how you allow a Commissioner to cavalierly issue suspensions and fines in the name of player health and safety yet permit the wholesale removal of the officials that you trained and entrusted to maintain that very health and safety. It has been reported that the two sides are apart by approximately $60,000 per team.
|

I just sensed the WR (Banks) pass coming. The triple option was effective but risky and complicated. |
Good point. We might just need to revalibrate what passes for good defense.
CR and you might have a solid point here. It's hard to point to any one issue but the league has consistently for years now made it easier and easier for offenses. Now with the these debacles they call officiating crews maybe they've reached the tipping point and playing lock-down defense consistently has become near impossible. I mean our defense is terrible, no doubt, but it isn't too much different than we've had. SS pointed out that we're getting scored on because teams are having to put up points. How many games are we seeing around the league that are straight up laughers where a defense is locking a team down and their offense is dropping bombs? Not many. But we've seen multiple overall low-scoring games and vice-versa. It seems like offense begets the other teams offense right now. And we're scoring points by the bucket load. |

We are pretty much the worse. I dont care if we win 7-6 or 100- 99 as long as we win. |
Re: Redskins vs. Bengals Post Game Reaction
Don't need to. I'm not hard headed enough to draw a distinction.
As far as his job on the field this year, I have nothing but respect for what Kyle has done this year in terms of integrating Robert Griffin and Points Scored into the same offense. But he lost his cool at the end of the game. I don't think it was as costly as Morgan's penalty because things were already pretty dire before the flag. But unsportsmanlike conduct -- even if you feel the other guys are screwing you -- is not something you can take there. You just can't. You have got to be really careful. Which is what Morgan and Kyle did wrong. They let their emotions take over.
So we know exactly what he said to the ref? We know for sure what Morgan did. We don't have any idea what KS said to that useless ref who is stealing money from the league and affecting the game in incalculable ways along with all of his brethren. |
Re: Redskins vs. Bengals Post Game Reaction
I hate coming here the day after a loss. Sorry, the sky is not falling. We are who everyone thought we are. A deeply flawed team with spots of talent. We have lost our best defensive playmaker. Our line, like many others in the league, has suspect talent and our D-backfield has major issues. Our major free agent pick up has been inactive due to a freak foot injury.
RGIII gets hit. A lot. He's incredibly tough and is not whining like a bitch - like a certain QB in Philly did last year. He's going to be bruised, but it's clear he is not made of tissue paper either. He will be fine. Sore, but fine. The refs suck and make it hard - and dangerous - for everybody. Boycott all NFL products, gear, etc. until the refs are back. Watch the games, go to the stadiums, but buy NOTHING extra. Talk to them in money folks - then the owners will listen. MS and KS are here for 2 more years after this season. Deal. While the records aren't better, I still believe the team is better run than in the Snyderatto days. It's year 3, however, and being better run needs to translate into wins. We were down by 17, then 14 and, yet, is there anyone here who, in their heart of hearts, didn't think "RGIII might just pull this out yet!!" As we reached the 20 with less than a minute to go? We may have lost the last two, but dammit - we had a playmaker at the QB position who will - soon enough - pull games like this out of his ass. Losing sucks. But so does the rip, shred, burn it down attitude of this board the next day and the Debbie Downer's coming in here and saying "I told you so" as if rejoicing in their correct predictions of our failure. Rant over. |
