Ramsey isn't even going to be here next year so let's forget about the pipe dream that is Ramsey as our starting QB.

Gibbs went out of his way to draft Campbell and gushed about him in his last press conference. Couple that with the quick hook he gave Ramsey in week 1, and I see no viable reason why Ramsey will be back with the team and back as the starter at that.
And for those who believe we need to get faster WR's, good luck finding one who can outrun Patten, another WR Brunell couldn't reach.
I don't want faster necessarily - I want bigger and stronger and able to run the routes. You know - like Jacobs +2" and smart and not a sissy. Silly speed would be nice, but it would just be gravy.

Just someone who can get off the line and get open would be a start.

Hopefully the Jacobs era in DC is coming to an end.

Some people won't let the Ramsey dream go will they? I don't understand it. Prepare for the 'Ramsey got screwed' threads when he's traded in March.

Oh there will be a million of those. We could trade him for Marvin Harrison and Peyton Manning and apparently some would suggest we should have given him more of a chance.

No. He had plenty of chances. He had three games here, four games there, and then seven games last year. What kind of young quarterback gets an entire season of work to prove themselves anyway? I mean Harrington only got three and a half seasons and Carr has had four. C'mon, it's not like he's had to learn two completely different offensive systems in his tenure as a Redskin.

Realistically though, Ramsey is gone. If Gibbs decides to keep him(which I highly doubt), I hope he demands a trade. I can name at least half a dozen starting quarterback that he's better than. Hopefully he'll get a shot somewhere else.
Yeah, Price had 1,400 yards receiving in Buffalo the year before he headed to Atlanta and Randle El had 35 catches for about 550 in Pittsburgh.
To be fair, Price was playing opposite Eric Moulds and was catching passes from a revitalized Drew Bledsoe. He had 1,252 yards that year. Looking at the rest of his career numbers, I like to refer to that season as the Albert Connell factor.

Randle el was the third receiving option, and a rookie that year. And he was catching passes from Kordell Stewart...
