Re: The perfect trade for Ramsey
Ok, lets be realistic here.
1. 'Skins are 20 million over the salary cap 2. Ramsey makes a little over 3.3m for 2005 3. Abraham makes 6.6m for the season 4. Abraham will certainly cost more than Ramsey Kind of difficault to believe that an NFL franchise would trade a starter AND a draft pick for a QB that has been replaced. Ramsey should be able to fetch a 4th round, maybe even a 3rd round, draft pick. |

But we will have to restructure quite a bit to fit him under the cap. |

Nah, we'll have to trade for him cause Abraham will probably get the franchise tag. |
Re: The perfect trade for Ramsey
I could see any of the following teams make a play for Ramsey (in no particular order):
Baltimore Detroit Oakland Miami Dallas (if Henson doesn't pan out in Europe and Bledsoe suffers a Brian Griese type accident) Jets Arizona |
Ramsey, LaVar, Jacobs and two 1sts for denim_monger
Do you actually think denim_monger would allow that? |
Re: The perfect trade for Ramsey
Ramsey for Dick Vermiel as Asst.-Asst-Asst. Head Coach, offense and emotions.
Stop, I think I'm going to cry....... |
Re: The perfect trade for Ramsey
Ramsey for Fred Smoot and tickets for a boat cruise...
|
Re: The perfect trade for Ramsey
new orleans cannot trade howard. he is a free agent. the skins can, and should sign him this offseason
|
Re: The perfect trade for Ramsey
detroit was looking to get out from under rogers.. oft injured. some substance issues, but a world of talent...
he could end up cut this off season as well |
Re: The perfect trade for Ramsey
they won't tag abraham because he would cost too much and the jets would rather cut him (or leave him a free agent, rather) and get out from under his contract.
plus, abraham seems to be always getting nicked and is always going public with his issues. not sure i want him over howard or raheem brock or aaron kampman. abraham reminds me far too much of javon kearse. oft injured and never as productive as philly would have liked. buyer beware on abraham |
Re: The perfect trade for Ramsey
I would be happy for a 3rd or 4th rounder for him. But the word was last offseason a deal was almost made with Jets for Abraham and a 3 or 4th.....
THAT WOULD BE GRT!!! But we need a few players to restructure. |

But look at Denver taking chances on their injury prone D-Line cats they brought in. |

John Clayton is reporting that he'd accept the trade if the Skins also agree to sign his good buddies ZackMills and Skinz_Domin8 |
