Trent Green is actually older than Brunell if you can believe it, Saunders doesn't seem to have a problem with old assed QB's.
Trent Green was born in 1970, so he's 35.

Green was born 7/9/70

Brunell was born 9/17/70

So yes, Green is a tiny bit older.

I think the difference between the two in terms of age, is that Brunell is starting to get football old (dont get me wrong, I still think he can get the job done), and Trent Green is just starting to get football old. Brunell has been a start in the leauge since 1995, and taken teams deep into the playoffs and really taken a toll on his body, where as Green really just became a every year in and year out starter in 2001.

Do you forget our win in wk2 in Dallas?

Who's got an arm? Mark Brunell. He's smart, accurate and he used to throwing alot. The biggest advancement will be in the running game. By Saunders being overtly aggressive we'll see Portis make the Pro Bowl. Let's just hope we can move into the playoffs again next season. Killed me today to see the Panthers roll over for the Seahawks. Bet if we were playing either team today we win! Shouldacouldwoulda. Gotta hand it to those PC Seattle fans. Shit was loud. We gotta bring it next season at home. LOUDER than LOUD!!!

Re: Gibbs to give up playcalling

i like the idea of someone else calling the plays for the simple reason that without having the responsibilty of managing a game, the co ordinator can be alot more aggresive in play calling.alot of times last year,if the defense was on the field alot the skins would run the ball just to give them a blow.

LUX, I don't see how we would have beaten the Seahawks yesterday? Do you really think our offense would have moved the ball at all?

I don't think so with Brunell behind center, the only team we would have beat was Carolina, and that game would have been close.

probably 7-8mill minimum... heard 4mill, that's surprising though... moss and moulds each make over 7, but moulds will be released and i guess no one else is in their big payoff years in 2006...
How will the offensive linemen feel about the Saunders philosophey? They seemed to be doing well before the Thomas injury with the smash mouth approach.
any OL should be thrilled, saunders likes to run and he's had very very good running games.

That does make sense. Green spent a good amount of time on the bench - which probably made him the quarterback that he is today. Gee.....imagine that! A quarterback who spent time on the bench becomes a pro bowler! :point:

He's very accurate but he's never been known for having a great arm.

Can anyone confirm that Dan Henning called the plays back in the 80s? I've done a google search on this and have found nothing. I think I recall hearing John Riggins saying this on George Michael's show, but I'm looking for independent verification.

Yes, I can confirm it. Google 'Paintrains memory' and you should find it because I remember it. :towel:
