see normally i wouldn't want a player from the skins to go to a rival nfc beast team. I don't want our strategies and our playbook getting out like it did with antonio pierce.

The thing is, we don't need to worry about any of that because lavar was to dumb to pick up on any defensive system anyways.

My first lavar insult. He is still the man though.
unforutnately, it seems like leaving washington is what it takes to make lavar realize his potential. kind of like i feel ramsey will turn out
So you think Ramsey will go to another team and throw twice as many interceptions?

I think the Redskins had to let him go and get the cap room. But, I still think he'll be a force (even if many have forgotten how he used to be). Sure, Arrington was often out of position and didn't fit well within Lewis or Williams' schemes, but he'll do real well with a change of scenery. I guess I don't understand why people act like the guy isn't valuable.

As for Ramsey, who knows. He could be medicore somewhere else, or fantastic. I don't think anyone should be ready to write the book on him (good or bad).

HA thats funny.

and no, he wont

he'll have a chanec to start over. you cant say in his relief appearance this year that he played poorly, nor can you say that from the one game he played during hte beginning of the year

Re: Just Great!!

I would love to see him sign with the Giants, I hope he blows thier cap out of the water like he did us, then we can run misdirection at him constantly when we play them and enjoy big play after big play, while the likes of Robert Royal lock him down in pass protection, Lavar is a legend in name only.

Re: Just Great!!

I must admit that I got really upset after reading Nunyo's article on SI.com. I know that despite everything, Arrington loved being a Redskin. I know many cynics among us doubt how much he loved the team. But, according to everyone close to Arrington, he loved the team, it's history, the fans, the city, and the people. That is why he is going to continue to keep his home here and why he says he will still be a Washingtonian.

It had to be, but I'm still upset about it.
Lavar is a legend in name only.
I don't think he's reached legendary status in fact or name. Was he overrated at one point? Yeah. Is he probably underrated now? Yeah.

Just because he isn't the best player at his position doesn't mean he isn't a damn good player. That 10 teams are interested in his services (more than you can say for any other free agent) says the market seems to think he's a pretty good player.

It was once popular to praise him. Now it's fashionable to knock him. Sorry, but he's still a good player. Anyone who thinks otherwise is probably going to be surprised next season.

Ahhh ... what short memories we have.

The Eagles just signed Shawn Barber, which should lower the chances of them gettin Lavar
I think that he would be completely disrespecting the fans of Washington by going to an NFC East team. I will go from loving the guy to completely hating him. What a dick move to want to do this!
It's not a dick move, it's his decision. He's allowed to play where he so desires.

Oh, yeah LaVar is to blame for the Redskins cap problem. thats a good one. I guess someone name Dan or Vinney had absolutely nothing to do with that. I guess Lavar was to be blamed for all the misfortunes of the Redskins lately.

Well, that's JUST GREAT! You hear that, Ed? Bears. Now you're putting the whole station in jeopardy. -Brian Fantana Anchor Man.

Thats all I can think about when i see this thread.

Re: Just Great!!

Where Lavar ends up is of little consequence when we remember that he is hideously overweight and runs like Peggy Bundy. It would probably be BETTER for us if we could play against him twice a year. That's at least 4 blown coverages for the other team (assuming Lavar wins a starting job.)

I hope LaVar doesn't play well against us, although I am sure he will play a little harder when its us. However, I will remember you log on name because I want to see what you say when he comes back at his original playing weight and is flashing that speed that made him one of the most exciting players in the NFL. You seem to forget it takes a good 12 -15 months to fully heal from knee surgery, especially when you have two as close together as he did. he is only 27 years old people. Are you just scared that he is going to be awesome again?
