Re: 3 Round Mock
that's what everyone tends to say after reading any draft notes :/
his aren't bad, but he's a bit of a stretch in the 2nd round. He's not a great gaurantee to come in and start right away because of his limited playing time at Miami. He did step up when he started though, so long term he should be okay.
I don't really have a great grasp of who's coming out this year. I would have paid more attention if I didn't have so much other stuff going on with my school, but mainly, the reason I don't care that much is because the Skins don't have a 1. It's hard to project all the way into the 2nd round. Someone might go crazy and take a guy way too high, or some people's stock might drop cause of something crazy, so I don't put much stock into mocks. However, I have to say that is impressive that someone was able to write out a 3 round mock. Bravo. |

Re: 3 Round Mock
D'Br and MW are the safest bets to perform at high levels, and those positions (#1 DE w/ strong pass rushing ability and brick wall LT) are two of the hardest to get. Superstar QB trumps both, but QBs are almost never safe bets.
I'd never waste a top ten pick on a RB though, the difference in production just isn't that great over lower round picks compared to other positions (and the lifespan of a RB is generally terrible).
Of course, Gallery was supposed to be a sure thing two years ago, and he's been pasable at best. |

when he moved to RT he did a lot better. still he'll be an nfl starter (if only an average to above average one) from day one till 2016. ryan leaf didn't last nearly as long... the other thing is judging guys by rookie seasons isn't a great idea... MOST guys look bad their first year, merrimans and such aside. |
Re: 3 Round Mock
What about taking Ahmad Brooks somewhere in the draft. He's the son of a skin. I know he didn't play great this year, and was booted off UVA team but hey this guy was a impact player 1 year ago.

Re: 3 Round Mock
Not a damn thing is going to happen as anyone predicts.

Re: 3 Round Mock
No, I predict that your prediction is correct.

Re: 3 Round Mock
I still say thr Redskins will trade down to the Texans 3rd round picks at 65-66 for that 2nd round pick at 53! The Redskins may need to give up another pick this year or next to make it happen. If we do make that trade look for the Skins to take Charles Spencer OG out of Pittsburgh. That is a big if because Dallas is looking at him in the 2nd round. Also Darryl Tapp DE out of VT or Danieal Manning CB of Abilene Christien could be the picks as well!

we couldn't get 65 and 66, we could get one of them and a houston 4th rounder though (if we got spencer and mcpherson, I'd call it a great day). |
