No, I understand it's not an easy decision. It is a life-altering call he has to make, no one denies that. But the way he's going about it, the pouty attitude, the "I'm going home if you guys don't do it MY way" crap is what irritates me. That, along with his Golden Boy image that somehow allows him to commit to the team only if everything's perfect -- not sticking with his guys through the tough times -- that the media let's their darling get away with without calling him on it.

He's just a man, a football player. Come on, he's not Jesus.

No only is he just a man, and just a football player, but he is just not as good as he use to be. I watched him play a game against the Bears last year, and I really questioned his decision making. I am a huge Farve fan, but he was trying to make too much happen on his own and because he is a living legend, his coaches won't stand up to him about it. The Packers would be a better team if he would retire at this point. I say, Go ahead and go with the young Aaron Rodgers and see what you have.

No one said he was JESUS!! The thing that everyone is misunderstanding is that his time is limited if he does come back. If they're going to suck, there is no reason to come back. Steve Young said it all year last year. He'll only want to come back if he has a chance to win. If he's just gonna come back to lose what's the point? Why keep losing? He's shown that he's committed to that team, they haven't shown a committment to winning.

That D has sucked forever, they never do anything about it. They lowball all the free agents that come through there so they barely ever get any better. They try to build through the draft, I guess, but that hasn't panned out too well. see: Ahmad Carrol, he spends most of the time he's on the field in the toaster.

That team isn't that good. They haven't made a free agent move since Reggie White went there. I don't wanna hear about how Brett Favre is hurting the Packers cause that is false.

I kinda agree with that point, but I don't begrudge a guy for trying to do too much. He did make a lot of bad decisions last year. No one is denying that. However, I don't think they're better off with Rogers. It might be best to see what he can do, but I think if Brett wants to play, you let him play. For the short term, you're better with Brett than you are with Rogers.

Hey man 29 int's is what I call a big hurt. If LaVar was to sign there (which I doubt) GB would have a "prima" on both sides of the ball. What a way to go.

How about the season before that when he threw 30 td's cause he had more than one healthy receiver and a running back people had to respect? I bet he was hurting the team then, too...

Did Favre hurt the team by throwing 1 touchdown and 4 interceptions in the Wild Card game that they lost to the Vikings on January 9, 2005 ?

I never said the playoff loss wasn't his fault. I don't recall my post including anything about how he played well in the playoffs. And since he hurt the team so bad, who do you recommend they should have started?

I think a lot of the drama surrounding Arrington can be pinned on his agents, the Poston brothers.

I can't help but think that those two mishandled his contract with the Redskins, which ultimately lead to the resentment between Arrington and the Redskins management and his eventual release. Furthermore, they can't seem to find him a contract and he is past the point where the free agents tend to get the big contracts. I wonder if he might sign a 1-year offer and gamble that his numbers make him a valuable commodity in the offseason?

If I were Arrington, I would fire my agent, get a new agent, and beg for a 1-year contract from the 'Skins who still have a hole at weakside LB.

LaVar should sign a one year deal and prove that he is still a game changer on defense. Then go after some big free agent dollars next year with a different agent. All of the Postons big name free agents (LaVar, Woodson and Ty Law) are all unsigned. The Poston's demands are too high and by now most teams have spent their money. Some team might end up with a bargain for one year.
