Re: Saunders' post practice comments--good stuff
We won't score 17 points Sep 11. This is the NFL, not Madden 07. The Skins have some very, very serious problems on offense right now. Vanilla play should be easier to run correct? Then why are we struggling so. If he wanted to see excat situations, he saw people out of position, and a lack of timing and cohesiveness. Do you think it's any coincidence that Green bay got POUNDED last night? Wanna know why, because Brett Favre and Brunnell are on even keel now. Old, old, and immobile. Brunnell is already hurt! A groin! He can move even less! He can't plant and throw!
I'm a really big fan. Wen to my first game back in '62. Saw Jim Brown. I bleed burgundy and gold, but I'm also an NFL afficianado and I know we have some big problems to address. We may start off the season 0-2 if we don't get moving! |
Re: Saunders' post practice comments--good stuff
I knew all of this all along, Coach Saunders.
Thanks for letting the unhinged people know though. :) |
Re: Saunders' post practice comments--good stuff
Anyone that looks at the preseason rationally will come to these conclusions.
1) Redskins did not execute a less than Vanilla offense, which might be troublesome. 2) The coaches are up to something. To be fumed about a loss in NY and not about a 41-0 pounding in NE makes my brain explode. I can only think it's part of the plan, not because I'm unrealistically optimistic, but because we have the #1 coaching staff in the NFL. 3) The preseason does not mean dick. Making point number 1 null and void. 4) Sept. 11th is going to be fun. :httr: |

I see that some people still haven't gotten the memo yet today and are still in panic mode.

Re: Saunders' post practice comments--good stuff
still, did ANYONE win their individual, one on one matches last saturday? doesn't look like it. isn't THAT troublesome? that we're relying almost purely on the schemes?

I feel way more confident than I did before reading that. We have three amazing football minds on our side and I think we will see their genius on Sept. 11... Can not wait... Hail to the Redskins!!!
|

See our punter is in midseason form... who is worried we are going to be fine... Hail Mr.Frost. People stop worrying..... If Joe, Al and Gregg are not worried after and arse kicking like that... then we should not be worried... |

Re: Saunders' post practice comments--good stuff
I think we are fooling ourselves if we think that this offense is making progress. If your planning and execution is good in preseason then the regular season execution will be good also. That is something that we have not seen so far. This B.S. about "we are getting things done" in the preseason is just that. When you do something early-on in preseason and see how things work effectively then nothing will be a surprise. The effort is just not there. I'm sure that the coaches are not just sending our guys out there to be embarrassed in preseason.

Re: Saunders' post practice comments--good stuff
You guys must think that this is some kind of rope-a-dope huh? Not likely. These guys have bought into the off seaso hype, and think that they are contenders for the super bowl. Well they are finding out now that the rest of the NFL don't think so. Note to our team: You had better wake up and put your game face on and come up with better effort.

Re: Saunders' post practice comments--good stuff
Why is it so hard to believe that the coaches are treating preseason like practice?
|
Re: Saunders' post practice comments--good stuff
Because theres nothing better to do :argue:
|
Re: Saunders' post practice comments--good stuff
because we have to pay full price for tickets to the game or sit through just as many commericals on TV
