I missed that, what guarantees did Gibbs make to Brunell?
probably that portis would do a lot of roids. |
Re: Problems, And Excuses!
The problem is Gibbs made some guarentees to Brunell to convince him to come here and want's to back it up.
What guarantees? Where is your proof? Oh, that's right..you have no proof. Funny how this wasn't a bash Brunell thread. |

Funny if you ever had an intelligent thought in your life. Pay attention so that once again I will educate you, Gibbs flew to Jacksonville to convince Brunell to come to DC, reason he had to do that is because Brunell still felt he could start, so at the time Ramsey looked like an up and coming star, and he wanted no part of backing up a young QB who had apparently proven himself against the odds of a horrible pass blocking scheme with Spurrier, Brunells thinking was we were set a QB, but Gibbs conviced him otherwise, and no I don't have a video tape of the actual conversation, but if anyone believes that we gave up a second round pick and gave him a 43 MILLION DOLLAR CONTRACT to back up Ramsey? Then yes skinsguy you would have finally found someone that YOU could have intelligent conversations with, good luck in your search, your going to need it. |
Re: Problems, And Excuses!
It is...........stunning where you get these............revelations, 007. Yes, we are all..........stunned! You cannot let go of the Ramsey thing can you? You cannot accept he could not cut it here, and if you hadn't noticed, he's riding the pine in NY as well. I would not consider "proving" anything to Spurrier as an accomplishment of any sort as he himself could not cut it. Ramsey has the "Jeff George" syndrom. No conspiracy, Could not make with HOF coach, isn't making it in NY????????? Any questions?

Re: Problems, And Excuses!
Offiss, Im just flabbergasted that you use TiVo......don't you know anything, you cannot possibly have any valid opinions whatsoever, haven't you learned from this site yet that you never question Gibbs? How can you possibly think for a minute that TiVo gives you some sort of insight you imbecile? Now REPENT!!!!! I for one have complete and total faith in the coaches.....(YAWN).

So you have more faith in your TiVo than a Hall of Fame Coach and his staff? Armchair coaching has reached a new level of jackassery. |
Quite often, but I don't believe you'd be able to comprehend such highly educated thoughts as what I possess. Thanks for making it personal... We all see you can't get past this love affair you have with Patrick Ramsey...how well did Patrick play this past week by the way? |
Re: Problems, And Excuses!
Thankyou!
Jack assery...............Hmmmmmm |

Armchair coaching has reached a new level of jackassery.
It's the Madden Football syndrome. People think they're experts because if it works on the video game, it must work in real life! |
Re: Problems, And Excuses!
If the Redskins players have any amount of this testiness,I pity the Texans. Poor David Carr, he was just starting to turn the corner in having a successful NFL career. Too bad he ran into a ticked off Redskins team along with ticked off Redskins fans.

Re: Problems, And Excuses!
fickle-fans always...winning solves many problems...pre-season was a disaster, it has created this hostile atmosphere...#8-(joke)was great...MB- "throw the ball down the feild!"... "smash-mouth" I would love to see, especially Nov. 5th..... look-out Texans, the Skins need a great game!

Re: Problems, And Excuses!
I agree with you 100%.why not let jason cambell get som playing time this week, because the next three games(jags at home, giants on the road and colts on the road)it,s on now and real fans need to reconize it.we can,t afford to give away games that we sould win period.i trust joe,s decisions but when is enough enough?the only bright spot on the team is sean taylor, that boy is an animal, and we can,t expect him to do everything.

Re: Problems, And Excuses!
Matty, don't you think complacently going along is also a form of jackassery? Something is wrong, that obviously the mighty Gibbs couldn't fix before the season, so there must be some problems. He's a coach, he makes a lot of mistakes. If he didn't football wouldn't be fun.

Jackassery is thinking that with the help of a TiVo, we as fans are more in the know than the coaches and players. Nobody is denying something is wrong and things need to be fixed. I don't think there is a Redskins fan alive that would deny that. I don't think any of us are complacent right now. We want changes, but do I know more than Gibbs and company because I can watch a game in slow motion with my TiVo? In the end some of us just trust that the coaches know what's going on and will get things turned around. |

If jackassery is what we are doing, then "headupurassness" are those that constantly criticize anyone who questions the players or coaches. We don't claim to have the knowledge and know how of the coaches, but that doesn't mean we cant criticize. Under your logic no one on this site could ever criticize this team unless they were in the Football Hall of Fame. |
