Re: this might be the worset team ever
We would have had DB depth, that's what Wright was for. He wasn't brought in to be starting that's for sure. To be fair injuries have killed the secondary.

Re: this might be the worset team ever
I've seen a lot of teams worse than we are right now, but what I haven't seen is a team with so much promise at the beginning of the season fall so quickly from grace. Just a short time ago we had nothing but spirited acolades for this team and anticipation of an easy trip to post season and maybe beyond. Without a doubt that's why we are all so frustrated, as well as angry with the way this team has performed. What I'm most disturbed at is the fact we have so many problems in so many area's of this team, I wonder where we begin to fix them.

injuries happen though, and if we had a SS that could cover (cough) maybe it wouldn't be so bad. you can't assume injury free seasons when both of your starting CBs are injury prone. |

The most stunning part of all of this is that it's happening under Joe Gibbs. This is like Spurrier Part 2 than Gibbs Part 2. The only constant has been the owner. Although he's remained in the background, he's got to be having an impact. The Skins have been a bunch of underachievers throughout Danny Boy's reign as owner. |

jeez, there's so many issues. QB is this first priority though. and cleaning up the cap situation for future use. a DT and pass rushing end would be nice too, and better db and lb depth. |

Of course injuries happen, but when the injury bug bites hard there's not much any team can do. |

I agree. It's pointless, completely wrong and in a way...immature. Oh well...it's IMPOSSIBLE for us to be the worst team ever. We already have 2 wins and I remember a Cowboy team with just 1 win once. :) There's been plenty of 1-win teams. Also, we can't even be the worst team this year. There is NO way the Texans, Raiders or Cardinals are better than us. We'll win plenty more games. If you look back to last year, we looked horried and then made a run for the Super Bowl. We just need to get our defense healthy and playing well. |

that's true. indy without peyton = less winning etc. honestly, the defense got worse, but not THAT much worse... at least i don't really see where the huge vacuum opened in starting talent. troy vincent has to be our starting SS for the rest of season though. Unless we're just getting arch experience for next year, but i just don't think he can read, react, and run fast enough for GW's D as a full time, every down player. |

That kind of money signifies your ass should be on the field making a difference. Unfortunately for us, he is making a difference. He is letting the other team score at will |

yeah, but it's cheaper to keep him then it is to let him go. |

Re: this might be the worset team ever
Beat Dallas, and all of a sudden things don't look so bad. In two weeks, this could look like a playoff team.
Lose, and I'm all for going with the youngsters. We won't recover from 2-6 and 0-3 in the division. The thing is, we still have 4 divisional games left, and 9 conference games left. This division could be winnable at 10-6 or even 9-7 (damn you SI!) IF we win all of our remaining divisonal games. On the road at Phili will be tough. But not impossible. It has however, become a must win. |
Re: this might be the worset team ever
Forget giving up. We win these next two division games and we are back in it. We need our division to do bad, thats all. F... the Giants, F... the Eagles, and FUck the mother fucking cowboys. It gives us more reason to watch their games in disgust of their teams.
The only thing is our team actually does suck right now so its not that it isn't possible to win enough to hit the playoffs but its that we just can't do it. |
