Poor girl gets shafted by the legal system again!. Yes I am kidding. They ought to send her to jail for this whole debacle.

To me it implies that black women have to justify their existence whether their decent or undecent. Pre-med or strippers, the shit never stops. |
didnt dexter manley graduate from college?
Didn't Dan Quayle, and George W. Bush attend college. That says a lot about your analogy. |
Re: Duke rape charges dropped.
That came outta left field. There were great injustices committed against blacks, therefore a lying stripper shouldn't be prosecuted for a crime? I don't follow that logic at all.
Of course you don't. And I respect that. The point is if you are not familiar with racial profiling, inadequate representation in court, police brutality and illegal practices by prosecutors and district attorneys against young black men everyday. This happens to black men everyday. A rush to judgement is the order of the day when it comes to the American injustice, sorry justice system regarding black men. How many white men have spent 20 years in prison for a rape that they did not commit because it was proven by DNA? |
Re: Duke rape charges dropped.
SUNRA,
None of your posts make much sense or are very relevant. The fact that they were white is the reason they got charged. They are innocent and have been screwed and that is what is important. None of this is to deny that blacks have been shafted for years but that doesn't mean these kids should face any type of false persecution. It is that kind of mindset that keeps racists feelings alive in this country. Pathetic. |

Are you actually implying that this was part of some conspiracy? I believe it. Trust me, the implant the government put in my brain is defective, leaking secrets to me, and told me the same thing. You've got an obvious ax to grind and many of your posts ruin the generally pleasant atmosphere of these threads. I'd hate to see these off-topic threads disappear in order to preserve site harmony. |

I'm still waiting for that site that SUNRA said he was going to start a while ago
But seriously, let's keep this civil |

I know a guy that knows a guy who has a brother that can do that for cheap. |
Re: Duke rape charges dropped.
Here's a breakdown of what the defendants could possibly be charged with at this point.
1st Degree Kidnapping - I won't list all the elements that define "kidnapping" but the state must prove that either serious bodily injury was inflicted or that a sexual assault was committed for this to be a first degree offense. Class C felony - Active sentence 58-73 months. 2nd Degree Kidnapping - State meets burden of proof for kidnapping but no serious injury or sexual assault committed. Class E felony. Possible active sentence of 20-25 months or intensive probation may be imposed. 1st & 2nd Degree Sex Offense - In order for a case to be considered a sex offense a "sexual act" must be committed. 1st Degree - Class B1 - Active sentence 192-240 months. 2nd Degree - Class C - 58-73 months If no sex act was committed and there was only "sexual contact", then they could be charged with Misdemeanor Sexual Battery or Assault on a Female - Class A1 - Punishable by up to 150 days in jail or probation or community service/fines/costs |
Re: Duke rape charges dropped.
My understanding is that all charges have now been dropped.

To be honest, I'm not totally sure that all charges were dropped. But, I think I heard as much on the TV today. |
